MW is wide open right now. It needs some new blood thrown in the mix IMO.

The only reason I think it wouldn't happen is he (DDP) doesn't have enough casuals knowing who he is and WME flat-out sucks at promoting fighters that aren't already famous.

With one of the best finishers in the game, and great cardio due to yoga, DDP is a clear favorite IMO.

For real, that's the only DDP I recognize. Du Plessis is sloppy and overrated, and his attempts to stir up sh:t by arguing who is African and who isn't is pathetic.

Yes he would be a South African American. I actually knew a bi racial girl from South Africa. She was explaining to my co workers that she was an African American and they were just Americans.

The way she said it, it made sense. She basically told them that they weren't African because they weren't from there and their families weren't from there.

Many black Americans have no connection to Africa. You don't often hear white American being called European Americans unless their family are recent immigrants.

Either way Dricus would be "Africa American"

Dricus isn't far from the title picture, but he needs at least one good win against a Top 5 opponent. Right now as it stands Costa, Cannonier, Vettori, and Whittaker are all ahead of him and coming off wins.

Stylistically I think all of those guys are pretty challenging for him, frankly. Adesanya -- assuming Dricus fights him -- probably knocks him out or hurts him a couple of times en route to a comfortable Decision. His best chance would be against Vettori, but even then I might favor Marvin especially in a five-rounder.

He recently had nose surgery to fix his nose since it was not working or something. So this should help his cardio breathing wise but i just picture someone stiff jabbing him and well it breaking. Hopefully this does not happen but if does well that is just that.
