Is anyone else secretly hyped about this weeks main event?

Im hyped for it but I’ll prob be asleep when it happens. I’m more excited to see medeiros and the dirty bird! I’ll be able to watch them live

It's not a secret. I'm excited. It should be a good fight and I think the winner will have a decent chance against Frank.

Bunch of casuals in here.

The real money fight is the Charles Rosa/Justin Jaynes loser leaves town match.

The most interesting hw matchup up in a while. One of the more interesting contender fights in general this year

I feel like one of the few people here who was excited when the UFC signed him and have since been pretty underwhelmed by him. I think he looked better back as the Bellator champion. Great lateral movement and hand combinations. He's clearly all around a more experienced and skilled fighter today, but I'm not convinced he wouldn't get knocked out by himself from 2010.

I've just been happy to see him perform better vs high tier opposition and finishing them. Aside from that brain fart late against Lewis he's looked pretty good vs Reem, Harris, Werdum. Blaydes was just a tough style match up. I like the fact he's putting more into his punches and being more aggressive or late. Crazy he's only 32.

Yeah, solid main event. I'm picking Volkov; he might not be the quickest but he fights like a 6'7 lanky heavyweight should, and he has shown grit, cardio, and solid power. Gane has power but doesn't bring the chaos to catch Volkov off-guard like Lewis did.

waiting for the mcGregor card then the Tyson Fury fight

edit: Don't call me a casual

I'm more excited about the flashy oversized Brazilian who competes at 170 lbs.

It's a very intriguing main event. Volkov went from 240's to cutting to 265, is sitting down on his punches, still keeps a high consistent pace, he's just a different animal than he was before. Hopefully he pushes the pace and forces Gane to actually fight. His last fight sucked balls, but the dude's a very very good fighter, great striker with a bright future. I love this fight cause I have no clue how it goes down, but if Gane can slow it down it could be meh. Don't get me wrong, i'm not like over the top psyched about it, but it's just a Fight Night, you can't have ridiculous expectations for a Fight Night, so considering that it's a potentially really fun and intriguing main event.

The whole card is filled with awesome fights on paper, fun wise. I know a lot of Sherdoggers don't even watch prelims so they don't know half the guys so you'll rarely get a decent answer about anything here. If you ask if anyone's interested in a fight that isn't the greatest fight ever the noobs will come out of the woodwork crying about something.

I am very excited. Big Volkov fan and think he's a very underrated fighter and now is really putting things together after a shaky start in the promotion.
I've been a big fan of Volkov since he beat Struve. A lot of people shit on him after Lewis fight and I saw a good amount of people just thought he sucked. Now after his last two wins I see he is getting more and more respect, good for him.

Probably the two most technical strikers in the HW division, one has movement like a LW and an underrated all round arsenal, and the other who utilizes his height and fundamentals better than arguably anyone at HW(particularly in his last 2 performances).

I actually think Volkov might get the upset but it’s very much 50:50. What do fellow Sherbros think?

P.S. I know Ngannou and Romero are thought of as freak athletes, but for Gane to look as well rounded and technically sound as he does, on the feet and on the ground, + having decent 5 rd cardio and potential KO power, for an 8-0 guy who started MMA at 28 and Muay Thai at 26, is he secretly a freak athlete (both mentally and physically)?
It's a great match-up, a pick-em at the top of the division. I think it's going to be a technical 25 minutes rather than a 2-minute walk-off KO. I think Volkov will win.

It's not a secret, I'm hyped for it. I've been on The Gane Train since before he was in the UFC. I knew he was a special talent when he destroyed the best Canadian HW prospect Adam "Kung Fu Panda" Dyczka.

I’ve been openly on Gane’s dick since his Rozenstruik fight
