Is Adesanya the most favored Title Challenger moving up in weight?

facts is that he is going to get KOed swinging like he always does

If he always gets kod when he swings how does he have 27 wins.

You don't seem to live in reality

Andy was in the 10-1 favorite range over Bonnar.....so theres that.

I really dont get why Dana doing this ? Let Jan - maybe- get a defense or 2. If Adesanya wins, Coker ( as he should) is going to have field day with talking about divisions.

Submission wins over WHO though?

This is the same guy who made Pat Cummins and Gustafsson look like Carlson Gracie Black Belts...

He submitted the same version of Krylov that Glover couldn't. I guess Glover sucks on the ground too?

People keep sleeping on Jan even though he keeps sleeping people.

He won't just stand there and watch like Yoel and Costa, polish power for the win.

Dangerous fight. Jan will have size and power advantage. 1 punch at those weights and its curtains.

With Izzy being primarily a striker, Jan will have his chances to win this fight. I favor Izzy but this is by no means a lock. Jan is a very live dog here

Don't sleep on Jan. He's been peaking pretty heavily. Holds a LOT of power in his hands and is seemingly very improved with his boxing of late, holds a size advantage, and likely holds a sound grappling advantage. If Jan gets underhooks Israel could be in big trouble. If what israel is saying is true in that he dosen't plan to put any weight on, and already isn't much more than like 195 or whatever then Jan likely has at least 20 lbs on him minimum come fight night. 20+ lbs is a huge deal in a grappling exchange with someone who is way more experienced in grappling than you are. If Israel plays distance perfect, and somehow never ends up in any clinch or grappling exchange yeah he likely wins. But thats a pretty narrow chance to avoid it entirely unless he cracks him in like 30 seconds. And don't forget Jan just beat a 6'4" tall striker to get that belt. So it's not like he hasn't seen lanky strikers already.

This is a Mixed Martial Arts fight not a kickboxing match. Jan is a grappler, NOT a striker, who could feasibly walk into the octagon between 230-240. He also is NOT Paulo Costa, he is a methodical slow-paced points-fighter that has gradually developed into a finisher in the UFC.

Forget the whole 'polish power' thing, Jan is going to try to SUBMIT Adesanya, not knock him out. This is a terrible stylistic matchup for Izzy who is going up a division and may have a real BJJ black belt 30 pounds heavier than him on top trying to submit him. He has never encountered this and if he gets taken down there is a very real possibility he is not getting back up.

Jan submitted Nikita Krylov (#8) who has 15 wins by submission. I am by no means saying Adesanya can't win but this is absolutely going to be the toughest fight of his career thus far.

Izzy might be favored by the betting markets, but an honest handicapper knows this is no better than a pickem considering we have never seen Adesanya face a much bigger and capable opponent on the ground.

One hundred percent. Jan is one of the weakest champs ever, an elder, perfect for Israel.

Santos walks around atleast 30 pounds heavier than Izzy.

Santos also strikes with power, not precision.

Izzy is also not putting MWs out with one punch let alone a LHW. This is lazy.

A one dimensional striker with 9 or 10 submission wins, i think this fight is a lot closer then many people think.

Jan is a grappler, not a striker; its amazing how many Sherdoggers with thousands of posts don't know/understand this.
