It’s you being childish, you just don’t like Peña for some reason (going to guess it’s her “personality”) so much so that it clouds your judgement on reality. When the winner of the next fight is announced vs Peña and the poster is up will you eat crow? Or come up with some elaborate excuses for why it isn’t exactly what I explained to you? You’re coping hard in deep deep denial, I just wonder how you’ll face the truth. You could just say “god I hope not” but the calling me full of shit because I can read the writing on the wall, is not a good look for you.
 
Aldana is game af. Pena is a tough style match up but I can see Aldana getting a shot pretty soon due to all the eyes that were on her over the weekend. She really did put on a show, albeit not a dominant one.

Just to go back to the potential match up between Aldana and Pena briefly, I'll give you that Pena seems fearless. She brought the fight to Amanda, and Aldana didn't. That much is true. However, that sloppy brawling that she was doing against Amanda would just get her her ass kicked against Aldana, just like it did against Amanda the second time. Aldana is the best boxer in the division and has some very real skill in placement and precision. She's shown this multiple times. It's just the wrong way to try to fight her. Holly Holm had the right idea, keep her at a distance with kickboxing. Aldana is just a bad match up for Pena.

How do you believe it's a tough style match up? I think it's a tough style match up for Pena.

God you're so full of pretentious cliches it's sickening. I just don't get how you think Pena has all this leverage. Pena got smoked in the second fight. Amanda put her in her place. They gave her another title shot because there was nothing left for Amanda do to at BW, even if that title shot was horribly undeserved. Now you'll think they'll give her another immediate title shot, even though Amanda, her only source of leverage, is gone?

Let's just take a step back here for a second. You say that my dislike of Pena is clouding my judgement, but are you sure your attachment to her isn't clouding yours? What makes you think Pena is some destroyer that would just walk through Aldana? Because Amanda fell back into her old habit and gassed herself in round 1? Aldana doesn't fight like that. That would never work against her.

Why are you so confident Pena will get the next title shot? Because she had an undeserved one already lined up, so you think they're obligated to give her another undeserved one against a totally different opponent? Why should the UFC care about her now that Amanda's gone? She did terrible her second fight against her. She doesn't have anything up on the other contenders now. She's not Stipe. Shes not even Covington. She doesn't have that type of clout.

She's not getting anymore special treatment. She can't take a year and a half off after a loss and expect to get a title shot when there are other contenders actually fighting and making their case. She's just not that important.
 
I know I'll be coming back for crow receipts when Peña goes back to embarrassing performances where she doesn't beat anyone of consequence, just like she's done her whole career, save one single fight
 
I think we can all agree, that was not FOTY though. FOTY would have way more engagement on sherdog.

Was a hell of a fight this weekend, but she's going to have to learn how to check leg kicks.

Aldana is tough but every fight I've watched she boxes, not much else. I admittedly have not watched all of her fights, but what I've seen feels kind of one dimensional, although she's very good at that dimension. I could be wrong.

Yea she's like a female Alex Pereira. Pretty one dimensional. Damn can she crack though.

Somehow those kicks really didn't seem to be slowing her down much lol.
