Did not see a thread on this yet.

What does this make you guys think about having a proper vetting process for immigrants?

I mean, they came here 2 years ago, but have not assimilated properly. Still accepting an arranged marrage for 20k, when their daughter is only 16?

Is that not human trafficking? What the fuck

Different culture hard to judge.

I’m sure the metoo movement will stand up against arranged marriage. Naaaaaht.

This a bad thing, and perpetrators should be punished.

This is so confusing. Do we live in a multicultural world or do people have to assimilate?

Two years is not that long when you consider the difference in cultures. Bigots on here will joke and mockingly claim that it's "hard to judge" but the reality is that these people are experiencing a culture-shock.

The fact that they are in Texas leaves little doubt that they have been harrassed and probably threatened with physical violence themselves. I'm not condoning their actions, but this could very easily have been a crime carried out in a twisted response to the xenophobia and bigotry that this family has experienced. Similar to PTSD sufferers lashing out at their loved ones.

I hope a complete investigation will leave no stones unturned and that the daughter has a full recovery.

We should keep the horror of raping people in mind when sentencing rapists. So hard for rapists
We should keep the horror of murdering people in Mind when sentencing murderers. So hard for murderers
We should keep the horror of maiming people in mind when sentencing people who maim others. So hard for them

Wow doesn’t hold up under any other awful victimization. That’s weird.

Quite the about face compared to the thread you just created then begged to be deleted.

I have no idea what you're blubbering on about. But by all means, continue your blubbering whilst offering nothing of substance in rebuttal to my post.

That is over 700 days to reflect on how good their lives are here in America, as opposed to the 2nd world, war torn country they came from. If they really believed in prayer, or had any common sense or decency, they would see how American values provide a better life.

But no, they need to marry their daughter off for 20k, rather than be thankful.

Please go try and spread your propaganda elsewhere, and let today be a lesson to you, that someone will always call you out on your bullshit. I wouldn't have made this thread, if not for your fuckery. I think this is a non news worthy story, and does not reflect immigrants, or Muslims, only shit-tier posters on either side of the political spectrum.

Shit-tier poster: confirmed.

It's a multicultural country as long as you follow the laws of the land. You're allowed to immigrate here and keep your beliefs. You can only act on those beliefs which are in accordance of the laws of the United States. Of course when you allow immigration, you run the risk that some will still not follow the laws, but it's not like American citizens are following the laws either.

Just know that if this place didn't take immigrants that don't have much skill then not many of us would be here today.

Is it wrong to assume immigrants should be allowed their culture within the confines of our lands law, without changing it specifically to suit their preferences?

We all saw your original thread, troll. Your opinions are not worth a response

Sucks to be a woman from that culture.

The mother had no choice to marry the father, and doesn’t think her daughter deserves a choice.

I come from a similar culture but love Canada and the freedom we have.
