Amazing how something so miniscule, so innocuous, could bring such treatment.

Almost unfathomable.

The video was later pulled, and its stars were forced to repent on Iranian state television.

Following their public humiliation, Tehran Police Chief Hossein Sajedinia called the video a "vulgar" clip that "hurt public chastity,

Religion of peace.

Dance and we will throw you in a cage/execute you.

To be fair, its a terrible song.

Absolutely, but just look at how mild that video looks, and think about the atmosphere were a gov't would come down on you for such stuff.

What sort of gov't is so fearful?

I had the extreme urge to have coitus after seeing this video.

The Iranian government must be really scared of their people, if this PG vid gets them all hot and bothered. I imagine twerking is an automatic death sentence.

Reminds me of this lyric from "The Wall" album by Pink Floyd (The Trial):

"The prisoner who now stands before you
Was caught red handed showing feelings
Showing feelings of an almost human nature
This will not do"

I assume they were performing at an Iranian equivalent of Jefferson Memorial.

Not shocked in the least. It seems Muslims want to take us back to the Dark Ages (Many Christians as well).

I am curious when there will ultimately be a bloodbath in the middle east where people get sick of the oppression and fight back.

In fairness, one of those guys looked real Jew-y. This could be a IDF covert operation.

There's plenty of fairly innocuous stuff you could post to youtube in the states that would earn you a visit from the SS. Ask Jake Volkmann
