I think I heard somewhere they intended to make the show more diverse since the comics were made in 2003 and idk if it was the creator of the comic but he or whoever basically said since they were living in new mexico there was not mch diversity or something so they wanted to modernize it.

So I personally believe that Robert Kirkman borrowed just as much from Dragonball Z as he did Superman with this series. The Viltrumites in the comics get stronger and faster from hard training. Hopefully that will be explored like in the comics.

I was more annoyed by her being pissed cause he didn’t trust her. She’s acting like it’s some normal secret he can just tell anyone. If people find out his mother could be targeted.

She’s the one of the only poorly written characters on the show and it sticks out like a sore thumb
