Man I thought for a moment they were really gonna kill Eve to send Mark way way over the edge, but no one stays dead in Invicible. Cept poor Rex with his season and a half of death flags
Good fight. Brutal way to end with headbutts. Mark or one of the backup heroes really needed to double tap tho. Levy came back from a worse head bashing. Chop the head off at least. Don’t just tell Cecil the pragmatist to burn something he might have use for.
Oh damn. Dark blood is back. He was so great in S1.
Oh and Robot taking Rex’s name when he already stole his body? Wtf dude. That’s weird. That’s not honoring.
Overall enjoyed the season. Hard to catch the magic of season 1 again but a big improvement over season 2. Power scale is whatever the writers want that day. Mark can get hurt from mundane attacks but takes being flown through buildings and slammed into earth by Conquest 20+ times and can keep fighting back after that? That my biggest gripe this season. And that it took mark 8 episodes to realize he needs to kill sometimes when maybe I’m cold but I don’t think any hero should struggle with that.
The purple psychopath grew on me. F the haters I like Mark and Eve’s relationship. Debbie is the best mom. I thought the final battle would have Nolan and Allen appearing for the save but I guess that earth return has to happen next season.
47 Vtrumites vs Omni-man, zenkai boosted Allen, old man Viltrumite, battle beast, Invicible, Eve, like 3 other earth heros showed themselves on par with viltrumites from the stupid Invicible war and at least 2 earth Villians could be assets plus the version 3.0 cyborgs.
Not bad odds. Looking forward to next season. Creator seemed to hint early 2026. Maybe not February but Spring or early summer at the latest I think.

The hero who soloed Viltrumite mustache Mark is Tech Jacket, who is one of the more powerful heroes in this universe. It's weird they introduced such a powerful character without much ceremony. They don't even mention his name and he's just there at Rex's funeral out of nowhere.
Robot probably doesn't know what's weird or not. Dude has negative social awareness.
I enjoyed the season but I honestly felt like it was a bit rushed.
I think they added a bit more character development to Conquest compared to the comics though.
The fight itself was brutal. On par with Omni man's beatdown of Mark in S1.
Hopefully from now on we don't see Mark holding back and get his ass kicked unless he's fighting a Viltrumite level opponent. Mark also made a terrible decision having that fight in an urban center. Mr I don't know to kill people just got a bunch of innocents killed.
There's a few other alien characters that haven't been introduced to the show yet but the Viltrumites are still far more powerful. They haven't introduced Thragg, who's the top dog of the Viltrumites and worth several Viltrumites alone. Battle Beast is the true heavy hitter on the Coalition side although Allen is probably pretty close. There's maybe 5 imo, 7 if you include Tech Jacket and Eve (8 if you want to include Oliver), who can go up against the 47 Viltrumites.

I didn't realize at first they were using the Evil Invincible bodies for the upgraded reanamen. That's actually kind of cool and perfectly in line with Cecil (and not a bad decision imo. Use their corpses for the extra power over the human dead soldiers. Don't leave a dude alive stronger than Nolan lol. Turn conquest's DEAD body into their captain)

Mind you I haven't read the comics but only saw some summaries on youtube after the first season so I don't know all the details but tech jacket apparently fights and beats 2 alternate Marks separately in the invincible war but those were really hard fights that leave him in a coma. So he's powerful but not so powerful that killing a viltrumite is easy work like it's implied in the show.
This is why I think it was a poor choice to gloss over the invincible war so quickly because of holes like this. In the show Viltrumite mustache Mark is killed off screen by Tech Jacket making it seem easy. It leaves a lot of questions about how powerful he is and how weak those alternate Marks were. If he is powerful enough to easily body a Mark, it makes no sense he didn't help fight Conquest but then just shows up at the funeral with no explanation like he was Rex's friend nobody knew about.
I think in the comics he was just too damaged to do anything when Conquest showed up and would've gotten smashed anyway. Without spoiling too much, Tech Jacket later fights some random Viltrumite and has a lot trouble.
I think Tech Jacket might and should get his own episode like Eve did to explain his origins and his role in the invincible war.
Oh and werewolf guy in the comics is actually Spawn. They replaced Spawn with the werewolf, who shouldn't actually be able to solo invincible.
The power scaling was really all over the place. By the logic of the show, Seismic and those centipedes would've given Conquest a harder fight than Mark. The earth level villains alone could've teamed up and beaten Conquest. The only reason Mark won was because he got assists from Oliver and Eve and Conquest wasn't really trying in the beginning. Conquest could've snapped Mark early in the fight before Mark got the boost from being angry.
In other news, the creator of Invincible is apparently making a spin off comic about Battle Beast.
