Bah I'm a fan of Pannie Kianzad but not feeling like betting her. Been a lot of interviews and such about her depression and whatnot in Swedish MMA media over the last few years but apparently she feels fine again. Also Paaluhi or whatever her name is tends to do well against most non-elite fighters so maybe she has a chance.

She also changed camp which sounded a bit like it was some drama behind. Really hope she looks good because I think she could be fairly decent if she gets everything together in a Angela Hill except a weight class up and with a better background kind of way.

I will not get burned by Andrea Lee again

Ohhmmmmmm

i backed tweet in her last fight and she got dominated up until that spinning backfist, felt like i got lucky. interested to see the line on anderson.

def looking to play Anderson here.

I wonder what the ROI would be if one played every single over for WMMA from the beginning. I am pretty sure it would have been profitable.

start tracking now =P

i'll reserve my strong leans till after we get lines

Jokes aside I think I am going to start playing every over for WMMA. Obv. if it is Rousey I won't but for the generic Invicta card I am just gonna put 1u (to win) on each fight so long as the price is in the -200 to -250 range.

we don't get o/u on invicta, typically.

Grrr. Waiting on movement. no bets.

I actually think some of those dogs are at good prices. Think they will get bet.

If Anderson wins this Im pretty sure this is her ticket to the UFC.

I think Tweet, Pa'aluhi, Eubanks are very good prices (finally, after shit prices on all the cards last year)
maybe Robbins too (need to watch some of her fights though)

I think Anderson will win but the hype is getting a bit out of control, price is good on Tweet

Pa'aluhi/Kianzad is kinda hard to predict IMO so 2.90 is an excellent price for Pa'ahlui (who I was leaning toward) IMO. Kianzad is mentally weak, coming off over a year layoff following a loss where she crumbled and quit before the fight, said she was retiring afterward, etc. (remind you of someone?). & this one is a bit of a toss up to me even if she was fully 'there'. If she's not, could be easy money

I've wanted to bet on Ladd for the last few cards but now we actually can, I think this might be a bad matchup for her. Young girl with generic MMA background who likes to GNP vs a scary looking, physically strong, grappling specialist. @ 3.50 Eubanks might be worth chucking a little on...

I'm glad Bennett is off the card, she fucked me twice last year and I was already thinking, 'hey, what's three times?'
I bet every fight I could in Invicta in 2015 and won every bet so I started 2016 with double plus size bets on Pa'aluhi and Bennett, both lost, never felt like I got fully back on it, was worrying that I was thinking about starting 2017 with bets on those two again :D

No way in hell would I bet any favorite here, though I'd rather not bet against Phillips and Esquibel.

Tweet +235 .5u
Pa'alhui +190 .5u
Eubanks +250 .5u

Kianzad is mentally weak

Idk if I'm on board with your thoughts on this one. Evinger is a beast. Kianzad was what, 23 at the time? 24? I am not ready to write her off like that

There's an interview here with her coach/manager after the bout:
www.mmaviking.com/trnka-talks-kianzad-at-invicta/

'Two hours before the weigh-in, for some reason Pannie decided, that she was done fighting. She did not want to make the weight and she would not fight. We had almost four hours to get rid of the remaining 750 grams, which should be a walk in the park, but she declined giving it a try. This was the biggest fight of her career...'
'
'...After some drama after the weigh-ins, though, she firmly stated several times, that she was going to fight and give it her all, and I actually believed her.'

...Leading up to the fight, I wasn’t quite sure what to believe, and the thought of canceling the fight did cross my mind. She answered me firmly about wanting to fight several times, though, so I decided to support her the best I could...
I was clinging on to a hope, that she would give it her all, but walking into the arena, I could not recognize her body language and I kind of knew, what was going to happen.'

'Pannie suffered from some sort of mental break down, and I honestly don’t know why. It is easy to speculate and try to figure out what went wrong, but that will not make any difference.'

'At this point, I honestly don’t know if she is actually done fighting or not, but that is not what is important to me right now. I want to support her in whatever decision she makes.'

I mean, I thought it was bad matchmaking at the time throwing her in at the deep end straight away, & it's a bit understandable that pressure was too much, but if someone cracks up that bad I don't think you can ever be sure they're sound. They'll be some pressure here too being a comeback fight (Ronda moments....)

Anyway, it's not just about mental state, Pa'ahlui was disappointing in her last fight but looked great in her two fights before that. Kianzad is mostly a boxer but doesn't really have any power, it's uncertain whether Pa''ahlui will take her down and outgrapple her but I sorta lean that way (the only grappler as good Kianzad has faced is Evinger), the strong odds are enough to make that bet to me, the possibility of 'mental breakdown' just makes it better (for me the bettor, anyway :p)

fair enough, good thoughts, man

i was gonna bring up her last fight, too (pa'aluhi) -- her cardio and gameplanning was just poor. i was on her train for the most part. i wanna see if she looks fit at the weigh-in today.
