Investing Thread

Oh, it's looming. It's just that it's EM and not mainstream, so it's not getting as much play in the media.

I remember when people told me to invest in AAPL, and the shares were like $700 and I kept thinking "why would I buy just 1 share? It's all I can afford!" and then they did the 7 to 1 split and I bought a few then. No way I could buy any AMZN or GOOG now either and I really think they should do a split too.

The last two days have been rough.
Not suprised. Could be just a correction in the market. Same thing is happening with real estate right now. Personally I'll just stay on course instead of trying to time the market.

I never try to time the market anyway :) .

Time in market > timing the market.

The last two days have been rough.

THe feds rate hiking has finally started to take money out of stocks. Good, there's set to be over a Trillion in buybacks this year. I say see ya, and let the buybacks buy proportionally more.
BTW my HON spinoff gave me one GTX share worth under 17, and I got 10 bucks in cash. Yeehaw!

ha, yeah, I got two shares and 10 bucks. Cost me $6.95 to sell the shares, which is annoying as hell.

I am not going to bother selling it. Just let it ride. It's not worth bothering with, esp with trade fees.
When I get the REZI spinoff and cash, I am going to transfer it out of my IRA and put it into my Roth. WHich is a PIA

HON had another spinoff today, and I got 4 shares of REZI. I hate having to sell them because of the cost of the trade, but what am I going to do with $100 in some stock I know nothing about? Silly.

Does anyone else invest in commodity contracts?

I was heavily in copper, oil, gasoline, and natural gas, but these days I just dabble a bit in oil and natural gas contracts. I don't have time to keep track of everything anymore so I'm using them mostly as a speculative trade for various weather events.

End of the longest bull run in history looms

Now is a good time to start dollar cost averaging buy if you are in a liquid position

Would love to hear what everyone is buying, holding and selling on a regular basis. Don't just stick to blue chip stocks!

Right now, I'm intrigued by
