Movies Introspective Quentin Tarantino interview from Sundance.

Fuck this child-f'ing loser rape apologist

Yeah, that was not a good look. I think it's more hero worship than anything, and I believe he has revised his opinion on the matter, but still, not a good look.

I figure most people in Hollywood have those blinders on. It's a very creepy industry. Just look at the Diddy shit. Why aren't more people getting arrested? There were clearly more celebrities than Diddy who had no problem partaking in that debauchery. Different world, that La LA Land...

This isn't even true of half of his films, let alone "every fckng movie." Weird straw to grasp to hate on Tarantino, but whatever floats your boat.

What movie of his has a rape scene outside of Pulp?

Natural Born Killers and From Dusk Till Dawn for scripts that he wrote, plus ol' Buck who likes to fuck in Kill Bill.

Is that really not an April Fool's thing? That's really going to happen? What a terrible idea.
Why do you say that? QT writing and Fincher directing is like a AAA-level dream pairing. I'm excited as hell for it.

I'm a pretty hard Fincher hater. He just slows everything down to a dull crawl and lights everything in urine stain yellow. That said, his best films are The Social Network and Gone Girl, both of which were extremely strong scripts that he managed not to get in the way of, so HE'S certainly in a best-case scenario of having a great writer handing him great material. I'd just prefer Tarantino direct his own shit to handing it off to a lesser director.

Who gets raped in From Dusk Till Dawn?

Tarantino's character is a homicidal sexual predator. Doesn't he rape and murder the woman they took hostage in the motel? He's also got crazy eyes for Juliette Lewis and probably would've made a move on her were it not for vampire Salma Hayek and her champagne-drenched toes <lol>

@Bullitt68

Found the Tarantino interview where he mentions Sorkin at about 51 minutes in.

Not wild about Mankiewicz bitching about The Newsroom, and Tarantino sadly hedges and says he has problems with the second season. I'll give him that Sorkin wanted to quit after Season 2 and only did Season 3 for the cast, but those 19 episodes between Season 1 and Season 2 are damn near perfect and Season 1 is perfect.

Whoa...This is very much what I was arguing in that thread about Fincher directing the OUATIH sequel, and he's probably going to shoot it digitally as well. People were trying to give me shit...lol

Yeah I haven't seen it in years, maybe he did rape that lady.

It's worth a rewatch. Super underrated all things considered. Clooney turns in maybe his best performance, Tarantino turns in absolutely his best performance, Harvey Keitel is awesome, the first act is fantastic, and after the turn to monster movie land it still keeps the pathos while at the same time being full of campy action.

Also, oof. That's a wild take. He's one of the best imo.

Nah, he stinks. Alien 3 is the worst of the original quadrilogy and a shitty movie, Seven is an interesting concept but a boring movie and Brad Pitt's bad acting ruins the ending, The Game is beyond stupid, Fight Club is also stupid, Panic Room is a decent thriller but nothing special, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is terrible, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is long, boring, predictable, and also kind of stupid, Mank stunk, and The Killer might be his worst movie.

The Social Network, Zodiac, and Gone Girl. Those are the three movies that he can hang his hat on, and they're all amazing in spite of him (thanks to excellent scripts), not because of him.

Ho-lee-shit. He might make okay movies but damn what a shit human being. I’m a strong believer that most of the time what people admit to others that they know is questionable is only a small glimpse of the depravity they are insinuating/considering.

Truth is, QT is likely a full on deviant pervert like those he associates with. I can’t imagine trying to justify that shit to the public.

However, I do believe there is a line between artistic expression and the person. What an ass, though.

Fight Club is also stupid

The Killer might be his worst movie.
I actually enjoyed The Killer. I don't think it's an all time great, but for what it is, I thought it was perfectly fine. It left me hoping for more.

I think my Top 3 Fincher movies are Fight Club, Zodiac, and Gone Girl. I love all three.
