I don't think a guy who hasn't defended his title should be getting a super fight. Having said that I think if Conor beats Mate he will be fighting RDA/Eddie winner.

Conor was already getting super fights after beating Aldo and I think people rather see him vs people in the 155 division and possibly 170 than fighting the 135 champ. Only super fight for Cruz is MM.

Lots of different personalities win people over. You don't have to have a larger than life, over the top personality to get people behind you, just bring something to the table besides a lump of human tissue. What people hate is when you try to be someone your not, or try too hard to win people over.


I do find it funny though, when everyone says Cruz is an asshole, and he even admits it, but he gets a pass, whereas fans will hate another guy that they only assume is an asshole, but have no real basis for thinking that.


But then, I don't personally give a shit about fighters' personality so I guess I'm the odd man out in all this
