International Shoop League Season 2

EDKFnS2.gif

nice...simple...quality

just to let you know the shoops almost ready for the final render and then I can try and upload. it's pretty damn big :D

EDIT: damn having no luck trying to finish it. Can't even resize to save frames and go again. it's done though technically

2ND EDIT: Made it into a video and now converting it back into a gif, just hoping somehow it doesn't require memory

Mine's suitable for competition... not sure how it'll play.

OK I am uploading a 32mb version which is great, but gonna lower the quality some more while I wait and see if I can reduce the size. the workaround using windows movie maker and instagiffer is amazing though.

EDIT: still trying to find a host that will actually show the gif at the end. I broke mediafire completely it seems.

EDIT2: My shoop is in! problematic but I've solved it (I hope)

Mines in!

Jehannum, there must be a way to get your GIF size down... I have made huge ones that rarely go over 6 MB. One trick I use in photoshop when saving the GIF is to lower the colors... the standard is 250 or something, if you go down and choose only 128 colors it cuts the file size down TONS. GIF looks a little pixelled but that's OK imo, its part of GIF charm

its 93 seconds long. your "huge" is that huge?

I did optimize a number of times reducing frame size but didn't mess with colours

Anyone ever make an undercard shoop in ISL?... that would be ballsy

I did Stout vs Pearson and Lineker vs Mccall :)

ballsy

...I usually feel compelled to do a main event... but mostly because I don't usually get to view the events PPV... I have to piece together the things that transpire.

First ever gif I made was an undercard fight. I think this was event 2 of the first season of ISL

Nice. I think short single-scene animations like that have the most lulz.

I make pretty good stills, and my multi-scene stories are solid. Single scene animations like that one is my weakest game.

I did these two for Jones, and moving the heads, rotating them, resizing them etc takes so much time, especially as alterations can effect quality, requiring more alterations. Then also count in that while your skills improve, so do your standards for acceptance, adding more time onto difficult projects.

both those gifs I wouldn't even be happy with now (mainly the first, the second could be a classic) and really tested my patience

Those gifs are great.

I am not a perfectionist. I definitely come from the school of thought that shoops are funnier when they're a little rough around the edges.

No work tomorrow, so I'll probably be burning the midnight oil on this one and submitting near the deadline.

Natural disaster apart, I won't miss the deadline. 10pm ET or 3am my time I make it.
