The irony of it all is that one of Aldo/Edgar winning against the other is that it's much more highly valuable if it's non-title or for an interim title than it would be for McGregor's vacated belt.

Who would the winner call out? Holloway? Best case scenario for Aldo or Edgar is to fight for an interim title and work towards McGregor.

Stupid idea. There is no need for an interim belt when the champion is healty, just make him move down and defend it, or strip him.

That's not how it works. The UFC fully backs Conor, so they won't make an interim title.
