It's good to see another fighter recognising that Conor is actually a great thing for the sport. He may be annoying sometimes when he just can't seem to stop talking about money, but the truth is that he's brought a lot of attention to the UFC and everything he's done has benefited the organisation as a whole.

Besides, it's also interesting to think about his first tweet too. Conor was great and now all of a sudden he sucks, just because he lost a fight at 170? Please.

I agree.. It's similar to MLBers hating AROD. None would be making the money they make if the big names didn't bring salaries to new heights. Conor gets full credit for taking it like a man.. No thoughts of ending it all, no looking for his girl for reasons to live and almost no excuses.

Those on the hype train and the ones giving the shit are rarely the same people.

It's not like one person says everything ever on the internet.

That is the nature of this shitty fanbase.

But I don't want either of those things.
Then stop watching the UFC. The UFC exists to give fighters a way of making a good living out of MMA. That's about money and viewers at the end of the day. Also, money helps fighters get the best training and improves the quality and professionalism of the sport.

You might not want it, but I'm pretty sure the fighters do want a bigger paycheck.
It's only going to benefit the fighters who take the WWE route to promote fights, and you're going to have a bunch of Tony Fergusons trying to copy the gimmick.

Exactly.. The people speaking out against a polarizing figure like Rousey or McNugget get shouted down, ridiculed, berated and drowned out by the wave after wave of adoring minions. When that figure is no longer godly, the minions jump onto the next bandwagon, leaving some real fans of that person and the very same people who were against that person. Those people are now able to be heard, and also a little pent up with frustration. Meanwhile, most of the fans still around, are cowed, sad and much quieter.

Did he not fight someone one weight class above his that has never held s title. Please stop talking about losing at 170

Other orgs, when successful have paid fighters better. UFC pays its top 1% extremely well, and pinches pennies on the rest.

I'm still very interested to see/pay for another mcgreg fight.
He did well and was not boring

Conor doesn't suck! He just gave a TUF champion a semi-competitive fight!!!

Ok, forget all about 170. He lost a fight. Period. That still doesn't mean he sucks, my thoughts remain the same.

he right someone got to be the clown dress up in bright colors and funny clothes put on the big red nose and facepalm
for us hilariously

He wrestled jimmies. He will be back. Hopefully this loss will ignite a fire and he will drop his shtick a bit.

He is great asset to to the sport. Ronda deserves the same credit for what she's done for WMMA. Conor's fans and his antics made him unbearable, IMO. it'll be intetesting to see how he reacts to this loss. He seems to be taking it like a man, which I respect and let's face it, there's a lot of excuses he could play. I'm not a fan of the guy but I respect him a lot for taking the loss in stride and returning to defend his FW title.

I never said anything about him sucking. I am just pointing out he wasn't this great fighter. Last night proved what most non nuthuggers already thought that Conor was a very one dimensional fighter

what hype? He is the FW champ and beat top 10 unbeaten Aldo (and Mendes, and Holloway). He is the real deal and a beast. He had the balls to fight with a elite heavier fighter. People should be rewarding that attitude, when champs like Ronda, Aldo, GSP stayed winning comfortably at their weight class people like Rockhold, Weidman, Connor, Holm, Jones, BJ Penn are willing to move up and give the fans the fights they want

War Connor i hope he fights Edgar or Aldo II next and if he beat both and show improvements who knows maybe Cerrone, Pettis or even the LW champ why not?
