Instead of building up bland fighters like Bo, the UFC needs to use fighters like Bo to build up actual international talent.

With this victory, De Ridder is an instant Sherdog legend for disposing of of the most loathed UFC fighters.

More importantly, De Ridder gets the accolades of beating a decorated American wrestler(easily, i might add)…

These are the guys you want to promote Aunt Dana not the wall and stall bs guys that have ruined the sport.

Sometimes it pays off like Paddy other times it doesn’t. One thing is certain - he is/was one of several fighters that are blessed with some of the best matchmaking opportunities possible. Their UFC careers are methodically crafted by the matchmakers and Dana.

To be fair, Reinier is getting that kinda push.

Beat GM3 who was a tailor-made hand-picked debut opponent, then he ran through Kevin Holland and made him look like a complete bum.

Now he's beaten Bo which wasn't that difficult of a fight for him either IRL or on paper, a guy who is incredibly green and astonishingly overhyped considering the performances he's actually put on (as opposed to judging him on his credentials).

You can do what you want with RDR now, he can realistically line up against anyone considering his track record and the fact he's a middleweight whose only losses are to a pretty massive heavyweight.

This is such a weird take. Bo already had a huge fan base NCAA before he even joined the UFC. Did you expect the company not to take advantage of this? Did you expect none of his fans to follow him over to MMA? They were literally threads on Sherdog criticizing the UFC for not signing him. Also he is not a stall guy every single one was fight and ended in a finish except for one.

People are constantly complaining that the UFC is not signing more NCAA champions, gold, medalist, and crossover stars from other sports. And when they finally do people bitch about it nonstop? Would you preferred to have they not built them all and just gave him a regular 12/12 contract?
 
Nothing wrong with BO. Hes got really good credentials and they were trying to use them to push him.

Also, if you think unranked Bo Nickal with only a few fights is "the most loathed UFC fighter", then you're an idiot. If someone moves up the ladder too soon, it's "fuck that guy, he hasn't earned it and doesn't deserve these fights", and if they specifically say they're too new to the sport and don't want to move up the ladder too soon, it's "fuck that guy, he's just taking easy opponents".

Don't worry, it's sherdog, so as soon as RDR loses to someone they don't like because of their race or nationality, he'll get shit on too and within 5 minutes of the fight, 10 threads will pop up saying "RDR was never my friend", and "that fucking fraud got exposed".
