Let's do the numbers. I'm not making a judgment call either way. Although, the Silva one was fairly obvious.
Ronda Rousey - Undefeated prior to losing the title, won her title in August 2012 and defended it six times over three years, then lost it in November 2015. Immediate title shot rematch (albeit to a different opponent) may be granted, not sure yet.
Holly Holm - Also undefeated prior to losing the title, but won her title in November 2015 and did not defend it, losing her first defense in March 2015. No rematch, it seems.
See a difference?
Chris Weidman - Undefeated prior to losing the title, won his title in July 2013, defended it three times over two years, then lost it in December 2015. Rematch granted.
Anderson Silva - Won his title in October 2006, defended his title 10 times and also won at LHW 3 times over SEVEN years, then lost it in July 2013. Rematch granted.
If you think Anderson didn't deserve an immediate rematch after defending his title ten times, that's unfortunate but old news as he was granted the rematch and lost. Weidman may not deserve the rematch as much, but that is your opinion (and mine as well, which doesn't matter).
TJ Dillashaw - Won his title in May 2014, defended his title two times over 20 months, then lost it in January 2016 by split decision. No rematch.
Jose Aldo - Won his title in the WEC in June 2009, defended his WEC title two times, then upgraded to UFC title during the merge, and defended that title seven times for over four and a half years, then lost it in December 2015. No immediate title shot rematch yet but may be granted, but still possible.
