I know injuries are a part of being an mma fighter, but should the UFC implement a pay deduction scale (to be penalized whenever that fighter's next fight is) based on how close their injury occurs prior to their fight? Just thought this might be something that could push fighters to train smarter, and deter injuries, as their fight got closer. I only bring this up because injuries so close to event time are happening so often. Freak accidents happen though, like if someone got into an automobile accident. Maybe enforce this penalty if the injury occurs during actual training.

Thoughts?

No, they already lose an entire pay day and that doesn't deter them.

he literally could have been kicking a pad and just snapped his shit up. it happens to every fighter. Conor has torn his acl among other injuries. he could have broken his foot as well

After McGregor dismantles RDA he will go back to 15k/15k.

Don't worry the UFC will get the money they spent promoting this fight either way ;)
