Tornado kicks need great technique, are difficult to land and can leave you in danger, that’s why they are rarely used in professional fighting and are even more rarely successful ... but if they land there is so much “centrifugal” force that it is almost a guaranteed ko and actually is one of the few techniques where the impact can be so powerful as to really be scarily dangerous.

I don't know why the other guy is holding a cross-guard here... that's very useless defence when you're cornered / facing your opponent with square feet.


This tornado kick is better in execution (mechanically) with less damage done.

Guys tend to parry first feint attack and then got battered over the top with the kick coming around high.

Real question: why do people always lean back into perfect range for the spinning shit instead of shutting it down by stepping forward. If they hit you with their outstretched foot or fist, that has a lot of rotational energy. Instead, if you move forward, you will make contact with their bicep or thigh which is spinning much slower and the result will be to stop their rotation while they are off balance.
