In the Making... Rico Verhoeven vs Badr Hari

This isn't gonna happen. At least not under Glory banner and I don't see this happening at all. Even if this fight materializes, today's Badr doesn't stand a chance against Rico.

Badr hari is my favorite Kickboxer I was training at my gym few years ago and my trainer invited him to Belgium to train with us. He inspired me so much I found it unbelievable that a K1 (at the time) kickboxer would give me time and advice. That said.. I feel he's been on the decline for a few years now and Verhoeven is no joke. It would be a interesting fight to see. I don't see this being a UD Badr Hari either knocks out or gets knocked out he's very aggressive.

No way Badr would take the fight under the Glory banner with what Glory would pay him. If someone else makes the fight, Badr by KO before he gases or Rico by a boring decision.

Translatiom: "Rico still wants the fight with Badr but it could take months to have the fight arranged.. Fighting Badr is not really special for him every opponent is the same (it does not matter if it is Londt or Hari)

Not really a fight I wanna see maybe Rico shoulda had the balls to fight him back when Badrs' name actually ment something

So in other words, before Badr sabatoged his own career and exposed himself as a sociopath criminal?

Rico was growing as an elite HW kickboxer while Badr was prime passing(Rico growing as a fighter in the mid of 2012 and beginning his dominance in 2013 while Badr last seriously fight in shape was against Saki),i consider Badr prime passed after 2010,when he had a lot of criminal problems and frozen his career for an year, but a mid 2012 Badr against a mid 2012 Rico would be Badr by KO IMO,Rico was not experienced and good as he is nowdays...

Everything who happened to badr about fucking up career interruption was only his fault

you could argue that has badr's whole career was him almost reaching the top of the sport only to keep fucking it up. He was already a convicted criminal well before he really became famous and made a big name

pointless fight. I'm always amazed with people's fascination with retired/inactive fighters. one guy is getting older and hasn't even tried to look good in years, the other is a dominant HW champ in his prime.

and Badr still has the biggest, most disillusioned fanbase in kickboxing. The shitstorm after this fight is reason enough to make it.

from what little activity I've ever seen from his "fanbase" - not arguing that it is huge - they aren't even into kickboxing. it's just a blind cult of warriors spamming the youtube comments section.

Apparently he beat up a waiter in a night club again. Let's see what the repercussions will be this time. Probably none.

I'm as casual a kickboxing fan as you can get, for me this is the fight I wanna see.
