In general, poor people are poor for a reason

Yes I've been trying to get more sun but it's been gloomy and rainy and shit lately. Also the sky turns dark at like 5pm, that's gayasfok
it is,but it got to be done, even if you dont like it. Strap on some headphones and listen to..whatever your people listen to.

I got into xaverian but was too expensive. My parents were just scared of lafayette but I ended up getting into tech

Dayummm, you coulda went there instead of lafayette bruh
Nah I dont think my mom was working there when i was going to HS,she was doin somethin else.

I'm 41 so no... they actually take out the trash most times to be honest. They help out where they can.
I'm pretty sure if I was 41, my parents would still treat me like a kid if I lived with them

I got into there and i just didnt like it. I went there for 3 days and just said FUCK. THIS. Im tired of this catholic school shit.

I’m poor because I’m a drug addict and degenerate gambler plus I’m dumb

I bet the parents were real happy w that

I seen chinese parents beat the fuck out of their kids for not making valedictorian

Lol, I also have developed a fatty liver within the past year most likely cuz I rarely leave the house. Working from home is all fun and games and jacking off during zoom meetings til you get laid off and develop liver disease

Maybe they're looking to lay you off because they are sick of the fapping sounds LOL

Sorry if it appears that way. I don't do that, I stand behind what I say. I am just a fisker, but I won't "hide" from a point someone makes.

As am I. Granted, I'm not daddy-warbucks slaying Thai cooch left and right like you, but I grinded my way out of poverty, am fiscally responsible, and am doing fairly well.

That is a representation bias. Not every poor person is wasting money on bullshit.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree then because folks like you get blinded with this absolutist thinking, and it is unfortunate.

Class mobility is not meant to be accessible by everyone, no ruling class wants everyone to be rich.

Building credit itself requires one to enter debt for God's sake. Need a school, car, or business loan? You're in debt...

Of course, you won't even get the loan unless you already have money... *oof* (Unless you don't mind super high interest rates that'll set you back to the stone age!)

Alright, let's get a job... we ain't no welfare leaches, eh? Let's get a car for transportation.

Can't afford a new one? Well, that sucks... let's buy a used car. Oh, shit... a new problem every other day. This "cheap" car is now a money pit.

You're sick? Better hope you work somewhere that offers sick time. And God-forbid you don't have health coverage, you can enjoy your $2,000 ER bill for the doctor that just told you to drink plenty of fluids and get rest.

Of course, we took your advice and didn't purchase food too expensive, but this cheap crap leads to more health problems don'tchaknow?

Let's go to college to get degrees and be more competitive in the job market. FAFSA can help a little bit, I gotta pay the rest out of pocket. Damn, I can't afford that. Maybe I'll take a loan to help me get my degree. Shit, now I'm $30,000 in debt (national average).

Excellent post and does a much better job of getting across what I tried to in my initial post. Being poor is like being in antlion pit, you have to climb out uphill, the sand shifts down underneath you the harder you try, and predatory systems are at the bottom launching sand at you and the unstable sand you're standing on to pull you down and keep you there for good.
