All sports have controversies regarding judging, refs and umpires in some ways. Just think about it your favorite football/baseball/nba team/soccer(football) has been screwed by refs in some way.

You know its part of sports much is subjective. When MMA says we need better judges, this may be a correct statement but there will always be problems not matter who is judging even former fighters.

Yes judges get things wrong but just like life, judging is not perfect, you tell me one profession where its perfect.

judging <> perfection

Improve it, work at it, but realize it will never be optimal. Thats all just my rant.

I think crappy judges' decisions actually help MMA because people enjoy feeling self-righteously indignant.

Well, 'aight, check this out, dawg. First of all, you throwin' too many big words at me, and because I don't understand them, I'm gonna take 'em as disrespect. Watch your mouth...

True but MMA has to deal with both ref and judge mistakes and incompetence.

some long-standing mma judges are worse than replacement refs.

judges don't matter when the scorinng system they use is the worst.

Referees in other sports don't give the actual points/runs to the teams, their calls can have some impact in the scoring, but it's not like MMA where the final score of the game/match is solely up to their discretion and how they saw the match.

MMA is the only sport that the ref's and judges can screw up as many times as they want and they'll still keep their jobs on the big shows.
