In 2018 who (A) will retire, (B) should retire, or (C) be out of the UFC

During the weigh in show, Bisping rattled off a list of fighters who will retire in 2018 including himself. A lot of name fighters won't be around for the new TV deal.

Here's my list of educated guesses.


Andrei Arlovski - definitely should retire but I see him voluntarily retiring or getting cut.

Werdum - Will retire

Mark Hunt - He's gone on record saying he will not renew his contract.

Overeem - Should

Shogun - Should. He's on a streak but one or two bad losses will make it obvious.

Lil Nog - should, will, or will get cut.

Cormier - Will retire. Pushing 40 and has a guaranteed cushy gig afterward.

Vitor - Should and will.

Rashad - Should and will.

Anderson - Should.

Bipsing - Will

Machida - Should and probably will if he loses his next bout.

Hendricks - UFC will not resign him

Lombard - Should retire. Definitely get cut if he loses his next bout.

Dan Kelly - Will retire

Diego Sanchez - Should.

Demain Maia - Will retire

Matt Brown - Will retire especially if he loses his next fight

Erick Silva - will get cut

Joe Lauzon - will and should

Jim Miller - Will retire

Ross Pearson - Cut

Pettis - Cut

Will Brooks - Cut

Gray Maynard - If he loses his next fight, he will retire, should retire and get cut.

Giblert Melendez - If he loses his next fight, he should retire and get cut.

Holly Holm - If Cyborg beats her, I have a feeling Holly will have a retirement fight in 2018.
