Fantastic win, timing, strength, head movement... but WHAT THE FUCK? SHE SOUNDS LIKE A 17 YEAR OLD BOY

Not trying to be a dick, but that girl has the voice of a teenage boy going through puberty.

Pretty much all Brazilian women sound like men, including Betche.

It doesn't help that the phonetics of Portuguese have a lot of "oh" and "ah" and "eh" and "uh" sounds. That exacerbates the problem.

Not pleasant to the ears at all.

This is the one thing I don't like about Brazilian porn. I couldn't imagine having a Brazilian mom screaming at you.

I guess the steroids has destroyed her voice!

She fought JJ. Split decision. Winner was a toss up. I like JJ but Gadelha is legit and can definitely beat her. Will she? IDK.. BUT WHAT IS IT WITH THESE BRIZILIAN CHIX SOUNDING LIKE BOYS GOING THROUGH PUBERTY.

you guys are seriously mean. Talk shit about Aldo and not learning english.

Here is a YOUNG Brazilian girl who has learnt almost perfect english for her fans and you guys make jokes about her as teen boy. Seriously disgusted by some of your comments. You guys need to apologize to Claudia. She didnt deserve any of THIS hatred.

Chill, man, relax...

I guess I mean.. is it really the steroids that's all over these bitches? Ronda/JJ sound like women..Carla esparza? Woman. All of the girls, actually, on tuf sounded feminine. Virtually every Brazilian fighter that I've heard? 17 Y/O BOY. Cyborg, Gadelha, Correia... EW

I (unfortunately) can't comment on steroids without getting banned or infracted so I'll remain hushed, but Honda definitely doesn't sound manly. I agree on JJ too:

I never had this experience being in south america and cant recall any brazilian friend telling me that the woman have that kind of voice. I would say women in brazil have the same voices as women in portugal and many other countries. The language makes a big difference but it doesnt set their voice level lower.

Sure there will be women with low voices from puberty on but these should be few. Or with adult onset by alcohol abuse, smoking (more of a scratchy rough voice), vocal chord paralysis or steroids. But there maybe other factors.

With Claudia it would be interesting to hear her sisters voices.

Alot of Brazilian women I've met seem to have that voice for some reason.

It's nonsense. She sounds just as masculine in english.

I'm looking forward to seeing the rematch with JJ.

I think JJ takes it. Gadelha is good, but JJ's confidence is sky high right now and it feels like she's the kind of fighter that uses that confidence properly.

She's really let go of her strikes more freely in the past few fights, plus her TDD is really solid.

It could be a close fight again, but I have a feeling that JJ pulls ahead in the second and third rounds, getting the TKO.

lol when I read the OP I first thought "WTF are there fights on right now" then I saw the date...

The shame is.. as these women's voice indicates.. is that not even women can compete at a tiny division (115) without roids ruining the playing field. Clearly aguilar was at a MASSIVE strength, size, cardio disadvantage vs Gadelha. =\

I just listened to an interview with her and wanted to bring it up. Luckily, there was already a thread on the subject. Always use the search function before starting a new thread. Posting 101.

You missed my point. I said the american chicks all sound like girls. but yea i agree

I maybe misspelled. Meant that the language changes your perception of a person from a cultural and attractive point of view but doesnt make her voice sound lower.

So Gadelha having a low voice has nothing to do with being brazilian.

Her language skills are also well rounded

Don't give a damn about her voice, because ..

In TS's defense not many posters here have a lot of experience talking to women and just assume they all giggle like anime schoolgirls.

Not true at all. Unless you are talking about fighters, Brazilians sound exactly like any other women in the world. :icon_lol:

Joanna will have her hands full in the rematch, seems she was correct in saying Gahelha is her biggest challenge in the division

Yes, I agree with you.

Her voice sounds normal in Portuguese but I don't agree it does sounds a little boy in English.

Yeah, not a big fan...
(Don't want to be banned)

She's seriously cute. But yea I hear what your saying about the voice.
