You see, there's a lot of overreaction towards stuff that she didn't really say. The whole "chambers of government" thing is manufactured outrage over the fact that she said the Dems had to take back the House, the Senate and the presidency. So she misnomered the thing she was talking about. Big whoop. In the end you know what she was saying (take back elected positions) and you know what she wasn't talking about (branches of government, checks and balances, etc).
As for basic econ, she's just for more spending, i.e. she thinks the tradeoff for aggressive fiscal policy (focused on "entitlements") is positive. Some think like her, others think otherwise. You haven't actually pointed to anything that indicates a lack of understanding of "basic economics".
