I'm starting to realize that our words impact the fighters more then we think

Two things that sparked me to make this thread... Ronda, and Tony.

at 15:00. Tony says that he worries what other people think. I can tell too because Khabib called him stupid over and over and now he's wearing glasses, and saying hes going to get his degree and shit now. He talks about how people call him cringe a lot. He clearly goes on Sherdog or Reddit or whatever.

Then here's Ronda (who's looking fine as fuck btw) bitching at Max. Its clear whats happening. We are pretty much the hardcore fanbase and our voices get heard the most because we're the ones talking about them. But with all the hate before the Holly fight, then she gets KO'd and seemingly everyone is celebrating her loss (on Sherdog) and saying she deserves it and basically hating on Ronda. Basically she feels like there was so much hate, that everytime her loss gets mentioned it feels like shes getting made fun of like on Sherdog. No one in MMA history got ridiculed as hard as Ronda when she got KO'd.

Not even trying to say we should be nicer or whatever... but dayum the psychology in this sport is another element that makes it surpass any other sport. It's intriguing, analyzing how people change or react to these situations. Some fighters can block it out like Conor, but not everyone.

I don't dislike her anymore, but she's bringing it all to herself.

You can't just get defensive every single time you're asked that.

You’re naive if you think tony is getting his feelings hurt

I thought you meant sherdoggers, but really you mean MMA fans in general.
But Ronda is for sure looking better than before, to my tastes anyway

I think in the case of Tony he just trolling the trolls it’s actually pretty cool what he is doing.

Ronda was loving the spotlight when she was on top and didn’t mind taking shots at every fighter on her way to the top. I remember her saying she could beat a lot of women in her division with arm tied behind her back. Once she lost, she went MIA for an entire year and refused to even talk about the Holly fight before the Nunes fight. I don’t feel bad for her at all. I definitely remember her talking a lottttt while she was running the show. She couldn’t handle the backlash of a loss and adversity, but brought a lot of it onto herself.

I’m not a Conor nuthugger or hater at all, but Conor is one of the most mentally tough athletes I’ve ever seen in any sport. Mentally, he’s on another level.

Our words do matter to some fighters. Only the very few can block it all out.

A true champion is somebody that can handle adversity and block it all out.

Oh, and for Tony? He’s just bat-shit crazy and I’m not even sure he knows what he’s talking about. But he’s doing something right. WAR EL CUCUY

I disagree, Ronda can be a douchebag in every interview until they stop asking her or stop booking her for interviews.

That's why I don't like bashing fighters. Most read Sherdog, so our words have more power than we think. Even if you may hate a fighter's style or not like their personality, they're still giving us so much in terms of entertainment and of themselves. The only times I'm cool with fighter bashing is if they're legit criminals.

Yes, they all want the luv and the hespect of Sherbros. That's the holy grail of MMA.

lol if he's doing that then give him an oscar right now.

He's not though.
Listen to him closely. Some of the things he says are so wild that he can’t be serious. He knows it gets people talking about him.

like what.

If you point to something specific and explain yourself you might actually change my mind but from what I've seen, the outside noise gets to him. Look at 15:00 in the clip. He litterally says "You guys are all up tight and I start thinking about what everyone think.... STAHP!"
He's just being real. There is nothing from that line that will draw in more viewers so that isnt some sort of business strategy.
