It was weird - the process was delayed slightly because a vietnamese dude came in and clearly couldn't speak english - they even asked him 'are you here to become an american citizen?' all he would say was 'no'.

If you have a very very basic understanding of english and can answer no or yes you can become a citizen.

there is an interview, which I did 3 days before us immigration services shut down due covid19 (march 13). this is where they test your civic knowledge after they are happy with the info you have submitted in your initial application
