I'm just gonna say it........I think that a patient and calm McGregor beats Nate decisively

Yes I'm a nuthugger, yes I'm butthurt, yes Conor is one of my favorites, but that doesnt mean I cant have a realistic and balanced opinion on Conor and his skills. I was confident that Mendes would beat him, I gave him a 50/50 shot against Aldo, I laughed at the ridiculous 170 and fighting Lawler talks, and I think that RDA would have destroyed him had they fought and will destroy him if they fight somewhere in the future.

Having said all that..........I think Conor screwed himself out of a win here. He was going all out looking for that first round KO and in doing that he blew his wad. He came out in the second round with some energy left but quickly depleted that by throwing reckless spinning shit and wild haymakers. After a while he looked gassed, had no bounce in his step, stopped slipping punches, had zero head movement, and his punches had no pop behind them anymore. He didnt even try to dodge punches and just let Nate tee off on him. This is where Nate started taking over and eventually landed the 1-2 that rocked him.. No disrespect to Nate, but he was getting dominated in the first round with counters and combinations. The tide starting shifting the moment Conor basically tired himself out by using Nate's face as a punching bag.

I think that with a more patient approach Conor could take a rematch pretty comfortably. He should have let the (T)KO come naturally without chasing it like a madman, using his speed advantage, timing that left and darting in and out of Nate's range, working the body more, and hell just throwing punches for the sake of scoring poins. Throwing all power punches against a Diaz brother doesnt work, those guys will just take it until their opponent gasses and swarm them with volume. The way that Conor handled Siver or Holloway is a perfect example of him not forcing the KO. He should have been landing clean punches that would eventually either lead to a finish or decision victory.

So flame away, and let me get this out of the way for you guys:

No way. He does that with a full camp Nate and that gives Nate the chance to play his game 100% when he is at his best.

These nut hugging fans are falling for it again and have not learned a thing.

Full camp Nate destroys conor even more brutally. He now knows conor doesn't have the power to hurt or even stun him. No contest.

I wouldn't be overly confident that a "calm" McGregor could see out 5 rounds against Diaz. The tide would surely still turn at some point.

Conor got finished with a fucking basic choke that could have been defended. I think Nate should have let him stand at Batterered his ass into oblivion off the cage for a KO finish personally.Nate beats Conor 10/10 as well as the top 5 LW and top 10 ww

Mcgregor's entire style is based on his power and accuracy. He found himself whiffing into the air most of the night, and the shots that did land didn't phase Diaz whatsoever. Mcgregor would have to completely change his style to have a chance against Diaz.

Nate was "fatboy in cabo" 2 weeks ago. If he had a full camp he would've destroyed mcgregor in the first round

Full Camp Nate wins 10/10

10 Day Nate wins 10/10

Go the fuck away TS.

Possibly.

But if Conor is just going to trade punches, then not sure. Nate is very good at boxing. And he has the chin to absorb probably almost any punch Conor can dish at him. Conor on the other hand can't absorb Nate's.

If Conor adds leg kicks (MT style) then I think his chances are good, as Nate's a noob in this area.

did not read but full camp nate diaz is a clear favorite in the rematch

Conor tried to take Nates head off with every punch which I couldnt understand.

Id watch a rematch in a year from now at 155.

10 day Nate gave him hell , rocked, and subbed him. Full camp Nate wins even easier.

But he's not calm and patient, a calm and patient Conor is a totally different fighter. A fighter that wouldn't beat Aldo in 13 seconds

Mmmk I'm just gonna say it... Nate with a full camp beats Conor decisively.....again (as in once more bc he already did it one time. Remember that one time when he fought on 10 days notice without a real camp)

It's a fight man. Anything can happen. Conor can beat Nate and Nate can beat Conor. Conor has a puzzle to figure out while Nate just needs to do what he does and stay sharp. It was an awesome fight though. Both guys are tough
