I'm in India - ask me anything.

I'm not from Korea, dude. My parents are. I was born in NY.

They give birth to a Caucasian ? Buddy, let me tell you something. I'm Canadian. One side of my family's been there since a 106 year, my dad went there 53 years ago.
But if ppl saw me or you walking down the street, what would they say or how would they describe us to their friends ?

An Indian and a Korean.
And that's if they're nice.

It is what is. Basically, I'm saying u sound a lil defensive. If you weren't, oh well. But it's true what I said up there. We and our kids will always be Korean n Indians to 90% of these ppl.

Southern. Extreme southern.
Not as likely to induce anal trauma. More sour and piquant.

@JinKazama can fill you in on some. He's from that area.
Really? I would've guessed it would be the northern part. Maybe you're burned out of your cuisine? I thought it gets spicier/hotter the further you went south?

Err...what? Go back and read my posts, dude. In none of my posts have I come across as a racist against India as others have in this thread. It was a just harmless question - why the hell is everyone making negative remarks against India?

By the way, we live in a post-racial society. Not many people assume that I'm from Korea, especially with the way I act and speak. Even the Mexicans here assume I'm from America and not Korea by my gringo accent.

I don't think my kids will look that Korean either. I'm not that fond of Korean women.

You should fire him.
Wait, can a mail boy fire an intern ?

jking......you should sit his ass down n have a talk. Tell you feel he isn't pulling his weight etc. These type hate direct one on one talks. Makes 'em very uncomfortable. Hate they can take. Aggression isn't a problem.
But a direct talk, watch him squirm.

I'll tell you n @Defeat Unknown something. There's no value of labour here. At all. But it's slowly starting to take hold.
That western custom of working in McDonald's when you're 16 is a great one. Teaches you a lot.
But over here, anybody getting a job before they're 27 is considered a loser. And poor.
But now you got kfc, McDonald's, bk etc etc. So it's slowly happening. It's only the lower classes yet but its changing.

I guess the bold part works for anyone regardless of race. If you come in too strong, most would shrug it off & just label it as "hating". But, damn. The intern is one unintentionally funny guy.

Your thoughts on Indians who were born/raised in the middle-east(UAE etc.)? The one getting kicked out is from there. Very arrogant.

so I was chatting with @RR and we just had a quick talk on travels and now he's never been here. That got me thinking.

There's a lot of misconceptions, half truths and yes, kool aid views of India. I'm here and can answer most anything about this place. Culture, politics, military, work culture, business, history, women (or men), sports, food, travelling actually most anything you could think of.

My credentials ? Am a Canadian but my dad sent me here for my schooling when I was a kid. 12 years from kindergarten to high school and then pre-med (no I'm not a doctor, fk that sht). Now I'm back here since the last 3 years because of work. Go back n forth quite a bit.
I'm an avid reader of books, newspapers n magazines in whichever country I happen to be. My family here are highly placed bureaucrats / politicians / policy makers (state level) and one of them was even recently the Home Secretary (national). I have travelled extensively from north to south here. By air, train, bus, car, bike, cycle and even driven a bull cart n a tractor. Stayed in a 1000$ / night hotel (owned by a near family member so didn't pay that rate) to shitty no star hole in the walls. Even spent about a month in total in the local villages.

Consequence of all this is I'm not quite entirely Canadian but definitely not Indian to the core. I think I can see the negatives / positives of both cultures and their views about the other side. My experiences, both here and abroad, put me in as good as place as anybody you'll ever meet to ask about India.

So ask away.

Do you mind pm's if people are going there?

That's funny coming from someone whose mom shipped him like 9000 miles away to get rid of his annoying ass lol Your parents obviously regret having you. Unfortunately they didn't realize that until it was too late for an abortion. I'm sure they're hoping to get a phone call confirming you were gang raped & then impailed with a lead pipe. Let's hope they're that lucky.
Dude honestly what's wrong with some of you people?

Why are most Indians ashamed to admit they are Indian, especially those who have lived overseas?

You can try to deny it but you claim to be Canadian despite being ethnically Indian and living most of your life in India.

I also know a guy who was at University in Purdue USA, claim he was more like American because he studied in America since high school and his Indian passport was issued in America.

I also knew a girl who had a Mexican boyfriend in Florida, they were in a long distance relationship, when they finally met it turns out he want Mexican, but..... Indian.

Is it because they have a reputation of being dirty? Rapists? Or is it the reputation of having small penises (based on factual research)?

Thanks.

Lolwut ?
I never deny I'm an Indian origin dude. Why the Fuq would I start this thread ? But the law says I'm Canadian. And so was my dad. And grandfather. And his father too. And unless you're native, do you go around telling ppl yours italian, Irish, German whatever ? Clown.

Does staying abroad in another country change your citizenship ? Then we got a lot white Thais, white philipinos etc etc the world over. Btw I've spent 17 years out of 37 here. Not most my life.

You seem pretty obsessed about penile research. Did it make you feel relieved about your substandard physiology ?
Let me put something in perspective. That study, by durex, was based on the average Indian male. The average Indian is from the central states. They're a small people, rarely exceeding 5'7, if that. They're also the most populous. By far.
I'm from the north. Punjab. We're from the Jat tribes. The British considered us one of the few "martial castes / races". Meaning instant and desired admittance in the army. The people from here are tall, well built.
Walk around Vancouver where most of them are and tell me you think they're tiny ppl.
I'm 6'4. My dad was 6'4 and 240lbs. His dad before him 6'6.

So the more you know .....

As for me, a shit load of girls would disagree with you........or agree. Who cares. I already got my rocks off on those sluts.

Does everybody there work in tech support?
No but if you think they're annoying you, you haven't seen tech support in India.
The best ones are assigned for foreign clients. The local ones I want to kill with a spoon.

I would, but marriage statistics are not related in any way to my post lol.

Did you quote the right guy?
Plus how can it be in my head when I gave several examples?

Edit:
I have a friend from Delhi. He told me that if someone asks him where he's from he will always say Delhi, not India.
I think it's different in every country but here in Singapore, we have a huge population of poor migrant workers from South india who have a reputation for being dirty and kinda perverts...He told me this is the reason, because when you say "Indian" here, you immediately think Tamil/south Indian and poor.

Maybe it's the same in other countries

Same in Dubai / Middle East.
Most are poor migrant workers. So the locals think that's India. Pretty stupid.

I can't picture India smelling good

It doesn't.

But it isn't everywhere. Just in more places than yours used to.
But you know a place that you probably do think smells good but doesn't ? Venice. Stinks of dead fish n garbage. And I've been there twice.

Ok, I admit that I don't know you personally, I was going by your reputation.

And 1911? That makes you a noob. 1700's ftw.

Well most of America is post 1900.
Burn them......burn them all.

I'm from Birmingham,UK where the people are 30+% Punjabi so I know exactly where the Punjab region of India and Pakistan is and a lot about it thanks.

My example was of an Indian man in America pretending to be a Mexican man so he could get girls..And the girl was Indonesian. My point was not assuming anything about Indians dating habits, it's an example of an Indian being ashamed or insecure about his nationality.
Which I have seen a lot...And wondering why.

I don't have anything against Indians. Your people brought nice food to my hometown for the first time so thanks.
I answered this in an earlier post a few pages ago.

I feel that vibe itt.

I'm Indian, I'm awesome...well I'm actually Canadian, fuck you.

The cognitive dissonance is amusing though.

No, you idiot.
It's what most ppl with dual origins feel. A Mexican American, Indian American, Korean or Chinese American will always feel that connect for the mother country.
Our loyalties and identity are with the new but there's always that connection for the old country. That doesn't mean we agree with all the shit that happens there.

Me, I like Canada. It's the best country in the world. But I'm proud of my Indian heritage too.
Does it mean both countries don't have their problems ? Sure they do. Some more than others. Our role is to bridge that gap.

That and rustle pseudo-nativist's jimmies. Like yours.

I hear it's a really shitty country. Can't drink the water and cows running wild everywhere.

I drink the tap water but I've got a cast iron stomach.

The cows, it's true.

Funny story. One time I was out for a run, at 3am. I fun through this deserted market place and I see the strangest sight.
A pack of street dogs are casually jogging through with a herd of cows just ambling along with them.

Wither they went and whence they came forth, I do not know but I nearly died laughing.
