We get all this talk about GOAT as if thats the most important thing in the world. GOAT is for children....this site is so obsessed with it...I am so glad that Cain, Ronda, and McConner have all not only been beaten but beaten badly so it will help the sport in the long run....we already have a last emperor....its done.....MMA doesn't need GOAT...its just not necessary...the sport can stand on its own without the hype. I never met Joe Rogan but I wonder how he felt when ronda got beat up after the olympic level hype job he did on her....and now Holms loses......sure we love the supernatural, that unbelievable athlete in their mythical dominance, but those days are over. MMA is too advanced.

I'm happy when great fighters lose cuz it gives them a chance to bounce back, tests their character. It also PROVES that you better watch your ass and dont take anyone lightly in MMA cuz there simply too many really skilled players out there.

didn't read through the OP- too excited, too underslept

I don't even know what to do with myself right now- almost feel like running for office of some kind

I wouldn't go as far as calling Conor a great fighter. He was got to and his one game plan to go in there and head hunt the entire fight was the telltale sign. He is, though, a great promoter, which we've only seen Chael do it to this extent. Only difference is, Conor puts on more entertaining fights than Chael did.

One positive I'd like to throw in for McGregor is unlike the other insane hype train, which was a certain female, he actually showed up to the post-fight press conference and actually faced the adversity and fans after defeat. That should count for something with us that didn't care to have this guy getting pampered, etc. He stayed for the full conference. Dana was out the door instantly.

So we have seen all the "UNbeatable" beat. When does Jones lose...will he be the last one to fall off the GOAT ladder?
