I had a cholesteotoma removed, which had diseased my ear-drum and mastoid bones. All gone. No heary parts.

One thing I've noticed is I taste plastic in water bottles more. The last two days I have had water bottles, and they tasted like polyurethane.

You also realize how important it is to keep hearing in your other ear....

An ent had a chance to pick this up a couple years ago, but didn't run the proper tests, and he gave me the wrong surgery. Might have made it worse. I might be suing. Appreciate your health, is the main point here..

You need to sue... I despise the american practice of litigation (it all benefits lawyers, who are scum) but you deserve it.

Glad you're OK.

They aren't all scum.. They help us get qual footing with bigger money and the government. That's important. And a lot end up a bit scummy.

Does it impact your balance any?
A little so far. I think I'm lucky in a way my balance and hearing were already off from the 3 year state of infection, because it's a little less of a shock. Still different though.

Toldja you'd be fine.

I SAID POUR
MORE WINE.

Don't get me wrong... I know a number of lawyers. Regardless, their role in life is to act as the key between citizens and fair treatment under the law and they profit greatly for what should be everyone's equal right.

My grandfather was included, post mortem, in a class action lawsuit on behalf of hundreds of people who were proven to have died from water contamination in new York. The firm took something like 40% off the top. Millions and millions of dollars. They're leaches, as - sadly - are many medical practitioners in America today.

Well, the good news is when your wife or girlfriend now tells you that you don’t listen to her, all you have to say is well duh!

Sorry to hear though(no pun intended). Aren’t there procedures that can help you regain your hearing? I remember seeing a documentary where this teenager got his hearing through some surgery when he was deaf for his entire life.

My sister had poor hearing in both ears her whole life. She decided to get it fixed in her late 30s. They do surgery one ear at a time. After she got the first one fixed she decided not to do the second one. She didn't think she would be able to sleep because everything was so loud. She sleeps with her good ear in the pillow. Not sure if this helps but I always thought it was interesting

Do you think this is God's plan for you?

Wow, unlucky for you TS.

I had a similar experience recently, last December.
I got a nasty ear infection in both ears. They were both jammed and I went deaf in both ears for a week. That was a scary time, I was thinking I may never hear again.
The doctors then gave some pills for a week and then cleaned out my ears. My hearing returned thankfully in both ears. Although I feel lesser hearing in my right ear everything else is fine. The other thing this resulted in was tinnitus. It's constant ringing in the ears. It was annoying as hell at first but now I've grown used to it and don't even notice it. As long as it doesn't get any louder.

Incompetent cocky don't give a shit doctors must be held accountable, so sue the fook out of the dumb mofo.
