Ilia's last 8 victims all won their following fight

Is Ryan Hall retired?
Per Wikipedia: "In a November 2024 interview, Hall stated that he has had 19 surgeries since his last bout including a torn ACL and that he hoped to compete again in 2025."

He's also 40. I'm not sure what's left for him if he comes back. Kron Gracie? Bryce Mitchell if Bryce is willing to fight at FW again? Any striker with good TDD will be a nightmare for him at 40 with a 4+ year layoff and all those injuries.

Maybe… or maybe back then most of the 205 competitors were the size of today’s welterweights and middleweights.
No, Bader wasn't small, nor were Rampage, Cormier, Vera, Glover or many others he fought. Several of those guys fought at HW multiple times.

Don't be silly dude, these guys were mostly bloated MW's, Jones looked two weight classes bigger than most of his opponents, the only exceptions were Gus and Reyes. DC was a 5'10" fat fuck, he gets dwarfed standing beside 155'ers like Makhachev and Oliveira.

Compare these guys to today's LHW's like Ulberg, Rakic, Poatan, Jiri, Ankalaev, Johnny Walker... it's just a completely different division.

1) You're showing Jones against the smallest guys he faced, most of whom also fought at MW. That's called cherry picking. Jones won the LHW title twice and defended it 13 times. Of course you can find a few smaller guys that he beat.

2) Cormier was both a UFC HW champion and Strikeforce HW tournament winner. He literally picked up and slammed Josh Barnett, destroyed prime Bigfoot, beat Stipe and many other HWs. He's about as a legit of a HW as there is. In his prime he'd destroy the modern "big LHWs" you mentioned like Johnny Walker, LMAO. I guess Fedor and Cain were really "bloated" LHWs as well.

3) Again, Bader, Cormier and others Jones fought also fought at HW. And again, neither them nor Rampage, Bonnar, Glover, Vera, Gustaffson or others Jones fought would be considered small LHWs today.
