Social Ilhan Omar had affair (while married) with her husband says Dr. Beth Jordan Mynett

Forget cheating on your pregnant wife with a greasy porn star. How many times has Omar been accused of rape and sexual assault like Trump?

His ex wife accused him of rape and many others accused him of sexual assault.

Conservatives lost any moral highground the moment they backed a skeazeball like Trump.

That's disgusting. What kind of loser would want to fuck that? She's fucking ugly and the way she talks absolutely disgusts me. Her voice/dialect/whatever is so annoying and gross sounding to me. How could you listen to that thing talk?

wait, what?

yea, she's annoying AF, a hypocrite, etc, but you don't find her attractive?

she sure in enjoying female freedoms over here in the US

it is uh NOT LIKE THAT at all in Somalia, the home of 98% female genital mutilation rate (world leading!)

having personally been to Somalia, i can confirm that less than 15% of the country is actually under control of the government. They have NO central monetary policy or banking system, and no administration whatsoever......

I have a theory...that generally, the most anti-white women (on twitter, journalism, etc) all have white boyfriends or husbands. Its like a corollary to the Larry Craig theorem.

Yup. Muslims are just as hypocritical if not more about their religion as Christians are

Didn't Osama have like porn in his lair?
Exactly. People pick and choose the parts of their religion to base their lives off of. All the younger Muslims I know are pro LGBT. Same with younger Hispanics raised in Catholic households.
You have no idea.

No shit. That's why I asked.

Amazing that nobody pointed out the huge conflict of interest here. Her lover wasn't just some intern or secretary.
She paid his firm over $253,000 in a single year. She's fucked.
Since when do y'all care about conflicts of interest?

Sounds like a Libertarian utopia

It’s a FEC violation and against the law.

Very powerful people are furious at her and the squad for their mainstreaming anti isreal sentiment, and they are marked for political destruction

I find it mystify that anyone continues to go to bat for this woman’s credibility. God help you if you can’t spot the snake in the grass

This is so goddamn weird.

She "cheated" on her estranged husband. Dwight Eisenhower, FDR, Bill Clinton, Warren Harding, JFK, and Thomas Jefferson all cheated on their (non-estranged) wives, and I, and most rational adults, would go to bat for the credibility of each. Why? Because none of them (other than maybe Harding) had political platforms that at all involved marital fidelity.

This is another instance of the sexless angst of American men rearing its head and projecting.

I could never get past her voice, man. And I’m not talking about the idiotic things she says either. It’s tough to watch her speak because of how harsh and shrill her voice is. I can’t take very much of it.

ETA when you come out with the deets on your original account?

You might want to put on your thinking cap because anyone who pays attention might notice that I don't have the slightest problem being unpopular. Never had a need for a closet. So it will probably disappoint you to learn that if Biden or Buttgieg are the candidate in 2020, I will be voting for a Democrat.

If it's Bernie, Warren, or Harris I will be sitting on the sidelines with a write-in, again. Don't see anyone else as having a ballpark chance at this point.

ETA of about November 3-4 of 2020 when Trump wins re-election. Then I’ll probably take another 4 years off if it remains boring here. Only Biden has a snowball’s chance in hell.

Buttgieg?

The scandal in the former two persons is that they are actively preaching/legislating against that conduct in which they are engaging and ruining the lives of people that engage in it. Omar's political platform and the basis of her support do not remotely involve criminalizing or combating adultery. Meanwhile, guys like Aaron Schock voted against gay rights. Guys like Donald Trump specifically appealed to Christian moral virtue in order to gain and consolidate political support.

But, of course, you realize that. The fact is that you consciously tried to avoid recognizing that pretty simple dynamic.

Yup.

I have little with men going to see prostitutes, especially high end call girls. Consenting adults and all.

But I have a special hate for Eliot Spitzer and was happy to see him punished for using Call girls because he used his office to go after and strongly prosecute prostitution.

Mick, you're fucking losing it dude. This is out of scale, like it's a reaction out of the uncanny valley.
One post creating a whole new derangement syndrome.

IODS.

Kind of sounds like a new computer operating system.

It works if you don't sell yourself as a new moral center as the backbone of your political identity. Unfortunately, that wasn't her play.

I think Trump knew about the affair. I think he played the Democratic base into rallying behind this woman as a new moral champion. It's getting hard to deny that at times he really does play some 4D chess.
Idk man. Trump illegally (probably illegal) paid a porn star he banged while his wife was recovering from pregnancy. I have no idea if this will hurt her or not but Trump doesn't seem like the best delivery man for the attack.

And I'm going to have to disagree that he's playing 4-D chess here. It's a pretty straight-forward strategy to smear the entire opposition by finding the worst (perceived or real) and claiming he/she is representative. It's as clear as day that he wants people to believe "squad" is the Democratic party and warn against them (typical strawman). It's not that impressive and it's fucking intellectually dishonest. But that is the political climate we live in.

There is a significant portion of democrats who want to take the party in the direction the “squad” wants, and publicly say so. Trump isn’t necessarily dishonest for pointing that out. Exaggerations and embellishments are par for the course in political discussion these days, and isn’t limited to Trump. It’s good strategy to get the independents voting for him. And he’s be an idiot to not try and capitalize on perceived disunity among his opposition.

Another story in the last couple days with Omar.

Flanagan wrote an article in the Atlantic two days ago saying basically it would be good if Omar showed more leadership to toward preventing FGM.

I see tons of people saying Flanagan is being racist or Islam phobia because of the article.

Trump doesn't point to the Squad and talk about healthcare policy, environmental protections, and all the other policies the party wants he focuses on the dumb shit they say and the extreme policies that the party does not agree with. Why do you suppose he chose them and not stronger, more seasoned politicians?

And to your last point - ok. I'm not commenting on the strength of the strategy (Republicans have been winning elections my whole life by lying about their opposition) but I'm saying it's slimy. Sure, like I said above, that's politics. But I'm just a regular dude and I don't have to like it.
