If you were Khabib would have given Conor a rematch?

Bro fr. That loss scarred him. Been almost 5 years, he's still talking about it

Holy shit, Conor vs Khabib happened only one month before Chuck vs Tito 3?
In my damaged brain, the later happened like a couple years ago maybe?

And are we talking about an immediate rematch? I would have been waaaaay more interested in Conor vs Aldo 2 than Khabib 2...
The Khabib fight left no questions unanswered, while the Aldo fight, despite being a very impressive early KO, still left us with many questions.

BJ Penn smashed Caol Uno in 11 seconds in 2001, but in their 2003 rematch, Uno took Penn to a draw (which marked Penn's second failed attempt at capturing LW UFC gold, the first being his loss to Jens Pulver), in which one judge gave it to Penn <mma4> one to Uno, and the last scored it a draw...

So with a precedent like that, I like to think that a rematch between Conor and Aldo would have likely looked very different.

conor didn’t deserve a rematch. he had nothing for khabib. it’s shitty to let someone like conor cut the line when others have been proving themselves in the cage.

that said, all this talk about how “conor doesn’t deserve it because he disrespected khabib’s honor” is nuclear grade cringe. it’s very pissy of khabib (and his fans) to take all the pre-fight trash talk personally and turn it into some contest of religious honor. trash talk is part of the business of promoting fights. very few people cared about khabib until this fight. conor gifted khabib a huge international spotlight, a new life of fame and recognition for himself, his family, and dagestan. that level of fan interest does not grow on trees; a talented promoter (conor) had to hustle for it. it took work. meanwhile, khabib was happy to benefit from the giant spotlight conor bestowed upon him. his fans are happy to pretend that khabib earned all this attention through merit, and honor, and by not “lowering himself to conor’s level.” its quite petulant, and frankly it’s rather parasitic.

but yeah, if im khabib, no rematch for conor until he gets a 3-fight win streak.

The most hilarious thing is that Conor got humiliated in the two biggest fights of his career (Floyd and Khabib) and that's the only thing most fans will remember <45>
Conor did ok considering the circumstances of the mayweather fight.

Khabib on the other hand was a big shit sandwich that he's still munching on until this day.

Only an asshole would even involve Khabib's father in anything he had to say. He had just passed away. There was no reason at all to go there.
Agreed, the point I'm making is that he wasn't being critical of Khabib's Father, he was being critical of Khabib's beliefs. Bringing his Father into tye discussion was of course inappropriate.

Well not when you consider that Floyd basically carried him for that long to give fans their money worth lol

Wether he did or he didnt,he did alright out there. He didnt embarass himself for a guy withy 0 pro boxing fights against an all time great, even if he was being carried.

The only people who think he sucked were people somehow expecting him to win.

He basically showed that his punching technique was dogshit and showed how poor MMA boxing is.

A lot of that fight was Floyd letting him tee off on him and Conor slapping and hammerfisting him.

I take your point re: zero professional fights but he wasn't a newcomer to boxing or fighting so that's misleading.

MMA striking and boxing is completley different. Even more so when fighting mayweather. And slow your roole on how "poor" MMA boxing is. Its that way because there are different factors to consider. You couldnt strike like mayweather and succeed in MMA,and you cant rely on those big gloves to shell up in the corner like he does.

100% no rematch. Not only was Conor destroyed by Khabib but then followed it up with a win over the aging Ceronne and two loses to Dustin. What has Conor done to deserve a title shot other than the same old tired talking

Conrat misrepresented Khabib and did a strawman.
He didn’t even understand the talk of Khabib. And neither do you.
Khabib doesn’t believe in the myth and nonsense called randomness. there is a reason for everything.
breaking your legs or losing is evidence that someone is not in full control what’s going to happen. It’s a reminder to be humble when you win. Winning is not all by yourself.
This is what Khabib was saying.
Conrat believes that his succes is all from himself.
Khabib believes that the succes of Conrat is from god. Just like breaking his leg is from god. That’s the point he made.
He criticised him for his arrogance and belief that all succes is from himself.the way he acts to it. But when he looses he starts to make excuses and blame others.
Conrat took the comment of Khabib completely wrong. He involved his dad in it.

Khabib believes that god took the life of his father. That’s also a reminder that nobody is in full control of their own life.
If bad things happen to you. It’s a reminder that you are not in full control.

It shows that Conrat is a superficial human being who can’t even comprehend what someone is trying to say.

Not giving Conor the rematch was the ultimate piss in his face. To say "you don't deserve it so I'm not letting you have your little camera whore whiskey selling promotional tour" was fucking beautiful.

Butt hurt burger flipper. I guess years of asking if you want fries with your order made you a bitter little manlet.

You mad?

Conor always trash talked khabib even after losing and after he retired. But does he have a chance at all to win? Why does he want a rematch for what?
No. But here are the considerations -

Pro: A chance to kick his ass again. Make huge bank.

Con: The first time around Khabib felt he went over the line, and was upset enough that he behaved in a way that made everyone look bad, so pride and dignity says no. Have to subject himself to massive attacks on his family, religion, nation and even his dead father. Would have to spend a lot of time with and around Conor promoting the fight. Would have to listen to Conor gaslighting about his own part in what happened after the fight. No reason to give a rematch to someone he easily handled the first time around.

No. Conor got schooled and down what was up. Never giving him the chance to get the win back is the best thing you can do to someone like that.

I'm not wrong, Conor was criticising Khabib's beliefs by staying the logical implication.

It’s weird to me that anybody would ever think Khabib would give him a rematch. He was the champion and he defended his title completely dominating MacGregor in every aspect of the fight. When in history has a champion defended his title in dominant fashion and then rematched that same opponent immediately without that opponent winning any fights in that weight class?
