And the Bantamweight division. Congratulations on looking foolish .You will promote -145 lbs division and weight cutting is prohibited?
In other words, you support Mighty Mouse division.
I'm curious, who exactly is going to be in that division?+300

...that the UFC would promote, what would they be? And weight cutting is prohibited in this hypothetical.
I would only promote men's divisions:
+215 lbs
-215 lbs
-190 lbs
-175 lbs
-160 lbs
-145 lbs

Interesting question. Assuming weight cutting is illegal and checked through hydration testing, mine:...that the UFC would promote, what would they be? And weight cutting is prohibited in this hypothetical.

Hey, I said no soccer moms, so the WMMA will be legit
As much of a fan I am of certain female fighters, statistically speaking they are grossly over-represented in terms of number of fights in the UFC.Hey, I said no soccer moms, so the WMMA will be legit
This is very close to my ideal weight classes...that the UFC would promote, what would they be? And weight cutting is prohibited in this hypothetical.

Gustafsson looks like he weighs less than Jones, the latter of whom weighs 216 lbs prior to weight cutting. I find it unlikely that Gustafsson cuts more weight than Daniel Cormier (the latter of whom cuts from 236 lbs) let alone weighs as much as the 242 lb-Arlovski.Women's flyweight
Bantamweight
Lightweight
Welterweight
Middleweight
Heavyweight
Heavyweight would be so much more interesting if these lhws would stop cutting weight. Gus already weighs the same as Arlovski.
Good point. And it doesn't help that many WMMA fighters have records like 4-3 or 5-5. A big reason why WMMA sucks is because WMMA has a lot of cans compared to the men's divisions. Imagine WW with 10 CM Punk vs. CM Punk fights a year.As much of a fan I am of certain female fighters, statistically speaking they are grossly over-represented in terms of number of fights in the UFC.
If you combined W-Featherweight, W-Bantamweight, W-Flyweight, and W-Strawweight, they represent roughly 3.9% of the ranked fighters worldwide, but they account for 14.3% of the fights in the UFC.
If those same divisions had representation equal to the number of ranked fighters they had, you'd only see 17 women's fights in the year. That's hardly worth promoting over even the weakest of men's divisions (HW, LHW, and FLW individually account for roughly 7% of all ranked fighters; they individually have 3% more than the women's divisions combined).
