thiago alves is still a very good striker - if he loses to perry via striking, that would be disappointing as a fan of his - good for perry though, his hype will continue to build
 
If Alves uses the Aldo vs Max strategy of ZERO leg kicks then he's for sure fucked.

I think Perry koes him anyway though. Then again we might see Alves go for TD's and that might get interesting.

Excellent striker but let's be honest he is a good 6 years past his best and that is like 20 years in fighting.

The Alves that fought Josh Kosckeck would be top 5 today and only guys like Lawler, Woodley, GSP etc. beat him.

Perry ain't impressing me so far or maybe it's just how bad Sherdog over rates him, he has power but he's fought one legit up and comer and he lost, his win against Ellenberger is pitiful, why is that guy even fighting still?

If he does beat Alves for me it don't do much to elevate him.

He would have been starched in a stand u war with prime Alves.
 
Alves has HEAVY Leg kicks, IF he uses them the way he should Perry is going to have a long night. If not it will look like Aldo vs Hollaway .

Thiago is still 100times better on the feet and 15,000 times better on the ground

But that mongoloid has a helluva chin and Thiago isnt really fighting for anything anymore


He will walk Perry into big strikes and tear up his legs tho, thays for sure
 
People sleeping on Thiago forget what he did to high level Mein recently -- Mike Perry is a beast but this is best striker he has fought and certainly a technical striker that could pick him apart like Joban......It will atleast be a good fight.
