If Wonderboy defeats Shavkat

He has little chance against Shavkat, we have to admit that. Many people don’t know what kind of struggle Shavkat really has. Everyone says that the takedown did not work against Neal, this is because Neal was much heavier during the fight, since he did not meet the weight category limit, and it was also much easier for him to recover than Shavkat. Recently, Shavkat’s sparring partner in wrestling became the world champion in freestyle wrestling, this already speaks for itself.

Bro, they literally fought twice. Anderson ducked nobody. Anderson even fought Cormier on like how many weeks notice?
Anderson didn't duck anyone ever. He fought Chael twice, he fought Chris twice, he fought DC on short notice and even hurt him near the end.

But haters gonna hate, forever. No matter how stupid they look.

Im fine with that, no need to force us to watch Bilel fail his only chance for a title.

Does he get the title shot?

Poor Belal
I think that depends on who wins between Colby and Leon.

If Leon gets past Colby, why not? We just had Volkanovski fight Korean Zombie last year. Champion known for his striking vs arguably the greatest striker in the division's history?

Damn Belal is rumored to fight Usman?

That should be a brick wall stylistically for Belal

I don't know. Usman's knees have seen better days. Dude isn't wrestling like he used to.

I really like Wonderboy, but considering that he's 40 (old for a WW), has lost 5 of his last 9 fights and lost to every serious contender he's fought for at least 6 years, that would be a huge blow to Shavkat and the hype he's generated. I don't expect it to happen, but Shavkat might devolve into the next Erick Silva or Kevin Lee afterwards unless it's a freak (or brilliant) KO by Wonderboy that would've finished anyone.

Schedule him vs Usman next, if he beats Kamaru, then yes. May be rematch Belal for a title if he holds the belt.

I think Wonderboy has a better shot at winning than most people give him credit for, but I still think Shavkat wins by sub

Here is my spicy take. I don't think Shavkat's wrestling is all that.

That is a huge if, but hey Strickland beat Israel and I damn sure didn't see that coming. If he beats Shavkat then yeah, Usman. However, I think Shavkat is going to walk him down with little care. I've never liked Wonderboy, not even the least little bit, but I will give him props for taking this fight as I never thought he would. So I was wrong about Strickland and wrong about this fight ever happening... who knows maybe he head kicks Shavkat early and pulls off the upset, doubt it, but maybe.

If WonderMiddleagedMan is able to keep up his TDD and make it a 5 round point fighting type tilt like he’s done with Neal, Till or Holland, he definitely has a good chance of decisioning Shavkat. This is another great litmus test for the Nomad, 17 and 0 with 17 stoppages, if he can win by finish against Steven, the guy who’s never been submitted and only finished once by a fluky shot, it would be a huge feather in his cap.

Rakhmonov via overwhelming blunt force trauma

I'd love for Wonderboy to get that shot but Belal being leapfrogged yet again would be a travesty.
Wonderboy perhaps fights the winner of Wonderboy vs. Leon/Colby

If Colby (wrestling, chin, high pace) is able to beat Leon, he may very well push for a shot at the MW belt.
Maybe we get the winner of Shavkat/WB against Belal in a title eliminator

only 1/2 a shitpost due to UFC matchmaking

Kinda reminds me of Anderson Silva ducking Weidman like his life depended on it and got ktfo.

Silva "ducking" Weidman was just contract negotiations. Publicly express no interest in the fight, making Dana have to come to him with a substantial offer to get the fight done. It's part of the game. He did this every fight.

It could be a bad matchup for Shavkat though dunno if he can take WB down?
