I feel this thread was fairly spontaneous. Had the user had to wait an mount of time they may have decided not to make the account in the first place, or thought better of making the post after a day or so.
Often these people are emotional, irrational and spontaneous.
But I certainly agree with you that it wouldn’t make any difference in a lot of cases, for sure.
Unless we (the west want to risk World War III) we should realize that we won't be able to stop Russia fighting for its interests in Ukraine and we cannot continue to be hypocritical about what referendums, independent secessions, and annexations we choose to support and those we choose to oppose for political reasons.
I call for the immediate recognization of Crimea as Russian territory and the recognition of the Peoples Republic of Luhansk and the Peoples Republic of Donetsk
The truth is Ukraine is too divided today to stay whole it must be partitioned for the greater good and for true lasting peace and solidarity and unity of people.

the issue here is the west exploits ethnic conflict and tension and then selectively pick and choose when theyre supporting redrawing of existing borders, right to self determination and "democracy".
the mess they created in ukraine by backing the coup and removal of duly elected president cant be solved with things going back to how they were before the coup.
this is even more true if you look how they handled things in former yugoslavia and especially kosovo.
all russia has to do is point at kosovo and be like:
"see? you backed a creation of a new state after a conflict, youre in no position to lecture us about crimea or eastern ukraine."

Ukraine also owns now parts of Romanian lands, not just from Poland. But I think it would be better to keep its borders and Russia not to interfere.

Russia is not seen as relevant by the European Union, plus it has 3 times less population than the US. Per capita probably the GDP is even smaller, all the fortune in this country being concentrated in the hands of the oligarchs. Russia "per capita" in the EU would be last.
Russia could be a power, but it is not. The Russians are stolen and they are still pushing the Putinist regime. Additionally, Russia is though a military power.
Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary and Romania are massively improving (plus cleaning up corruption), only Russia and its puppets are not.
If you think there is something with countries like Ukraine or Moldova, no, that"s only Russophilia. Russia is still a Communist and even fascist state. In Moldova these things are promoted by pro-Russians, not by the Romanians.
The Russians cannot be lied anymore, they have their own Russian sites, but in fact they can see on Youtube what"s going on with the world and how advanced is becoming.
Before the Bolshewiks to take power, Russia was friend with Europe and held a much better image on the continent. The commies or the pro-Soviet Union people are lying in Russia that there was no future without them. A lie. The monarchies did better than the Communism...

on the other hand european union, which was supposed to be a free trade zone only, is slowly become the new soviet union with centralized government control and pushing of lefty policies. most of the smaller states in that union have no real say and are told what to do. entire eu is a mess and will eventually collapse leaving western europe and all the eu members in total chaos.

2 Communist parties in Russia have 15%. 2nd largest Russian party is Communist. 3rd largest is fascist. A Just Russia is heavily linked to the real socialism. I have nothing against socialist parties, just against Communism.
7th party with 2% is a party for pensioners. Pure Communism, even though they have miserable pensions so they must be defended. But the principle is Communist. The principles of this party and of A Just Russia are Communist.
And that Rodina of threatening Rogozin, God knows what a hybrid creation it is. Patriots of Russia, pure Communists...
The non-socialist parties or really new are a very few! And not voted. This is not democracy.
And the Russian spectrum or scene is dominated by socialist parties.
Plus there is always that problem with the Putinists, if they act democratic or not.
I don"t deny, but it"s still better than Russia. The Russian citizens not even morally are much better humans. Maybe some, or more, no idea but it"t also a country on downtrend morally. Abortion, drugs, drinking, lack of education from the state, the real education for morality in Russia was religious. Like the current world. I see the world as a whole, "globally". And like I have said, not that my country is (much) better morally...
Putin may be even pro-LGBT, but nobody wants a revolution in Russia. The rights there can"t be installed by the puppets of the agenda in the next 2 decades, I doubt so.
I am against LGBT rights in my country, but how can the UE harm the Eastern countries more than it is Russia? Except this homosexuality. In Russia happens things way worse than in the EU.

Sure, you will say Poland, Romania, even Slovakia and the Balts are just a "market". Plus they lost brains. True. But meanwhile, the Russians are living badly in Russia. Some are serving alcohol because of the economical problems. And Romania for example has tripled its GDP anyway since 2000. The corruption is cleaning out in the EU with the help from Bruxelles. Poland and the Balts have also advanced a lot, but as you may know they were at the fall of the Communism a bit in better state. Plus the Baltic countries are also very small, so if they get more money from the EU it becomes more visible.
