What if the UFC was called something cheesier like UXF (Ultimate Xtreme Fighting) or F3 (Freestyle Fighting Federation), would it still be as popular, or would they take the sport more seriously, as the promtion progressed?

I've always kind of thought that even the UFC sounds a little stupid.

When I say UFC, I mean literally saying "Ultimate Fighting Championship" out loud. Like it's not terrible and we are very much used to it now, but surely there is a super professional name we're missing out on here.

Id call it UF Ultimate Fighting. ...Championship was just there because youd win at the end of the tournament and be champion in the early UFC'S.
