If Strickland doesn't get the title shot, it will prove that the WME wants MMA to be boring

Strickland is one of the most boring fighters in the division, but he’s quite good but obviously a step or two behind the more elite. He’s never going to be a star, he’s got the incel personality but his fights rarely deliver. Him being 2-2 in his last 4 generally doesn’t warrant a title shot.
 
Too bad entertainment isn’t the requirement for a title shot. Not if we want a sport at least.

They just fought over 6 months ago. We do not need to see that fight again, because even thought the fight was close, I thought Cannonier did pull it out and the judges got right. Cannonier/Khamzat for the next MW title shot after Dricus/Whittaker makes more sense to me right now. Strickland should go fight the winner of Costa/Aliskerov taking place later in July.

If Strickland is given a title shot it will prove that MMA isn't a real sport, but just as serious of entertainment exhibitions.

Alex announced that he’s going there AFTER Izzy said he wants no more of him. Basically, he was happy to fight him as many times as he was willing, and when is he called it quits when he was down 3-1, Alex accepted his surrender and moved onto other things.

Strickland 'lost' to Cannonier, and less than a month later beat Imavov. He then beat another up and comer in Abus. Now he's considered to be a fucking awesome warrior who backs down from no one, to the point his defeat to Jared is overruled.

That's how to do it.

Rewarding rank squatters is the UFC getting it wrong; rewarding Sean for playing the game is where they get it right.

Again, no title shot immediately, but he's right up there.

People who use the terms "point fighter" "panic wrestler" "rank squatter" and any other sherdog buzzword should be thrown down a well.
 
if endeavor doesn't give strickland the title fight, then they don't want to. obviously that would be a bigger match up, fresher, more eyes. they are selective when they want to appear as the best promotion.

I like Strickland but I don't think ge can beat Izy.

You must bang 1 or bully him. Jan had epic size. Alex put him on queer street. Pulling for Strickland.

DDP should get it if he wins.

DDP would be on a six fight UFC win streak, with Whittaker, Brunson and Till as his last three wins.

Strickland is be on a two fight win streak, with Abusupiyan Magomedov, Nassourdine Imavov and Hermansson as his last three wins, losing a first round KO to Pereira in the middle.

The build up would be better between Izzy and DDP too imo, not that that should matter.

DDP is a pretty quiet and stoic guy from what I've seen. The "who's a real African" debate won't sell any PPVs because no one in Africa can afford to buy one.

It has to be Strickland. It would do INSANE numbers.

Who deserves if not Robert, he has more quality wina, better streak and he has huge chance against Izzy, Sean not so much
