If Stipe defeats Francis easily and especially if he finishes him, then Jones would be...

just wait for the betting lines. jones will be the favorite. I dont think stipe has ever faced anyone like jones. Jones smashed DC twice. The Stipe vs DC trilogy was actually competitive.

bit too early to say who jones will fight. If francis wins then they will probably do a stipe/francis trilogy fight. Or Dana will tell stipe to fuck off and setup jones vs ngannou. They can probably market Francis better... he can actually pronounce words better than stipe, likes doing media, and he's built like a superhero.

I think it heavily relies on what happens in Stipe v Francis 2. If stipe convincingly beats Ngannou again and particularly if he doesn’t take much damage in doing so, I’m not sure I believe jones will ever fight stipe.

If he was so willing, why doesn’t he just do it now? What, the ufc doesn’t wanna make the best super fight available??? It’s the best fight they could probably ever make. There’s a real argument. Why take a chance on Fucking that up with francis first?

Well for whatever reason Dana seems to want Francis next. One could be charitable and say Dana realizes that, after 3 years of the HW line of contendership being put on hold for a Superfight and its aftermath rematches, you gotta let a native HW in there before another jump-up from the division below takes a slot. But it's much more fun to assume Dana wants Jones to have to cool his heels after his whole "I've set up a fight with Ngannou but will go through with it only if you pay us buttloads" shakedown attempt.

It would be smart for Jones to take a tune up fight at Heavyweight first. Tybura or Tuivasa for a winnable fight. Blaydes or Lewis for a good test.

Jones is a crafty, weasely vet and the current GOAT. Stipe would have his hands full.

I see Jones eventually in negotiations totake a fight at HW” then pricing himselfout of said fight and blaming it on the promotion for not paying him his fair market value

To be fair, the UFC underpays like 69.6969% of the time, every single got dang time.

Stipe beats Jones easily.

Not sure Stipe beats Francis again though. I think Stipe has slowed down a bit. He can still win though.

Jons not done getting his pulse where it needs to be

Stipe is going to manhandle him in every aspect of the fight even if Jones is pulsing full force
but he couldn't manhandle DC who couldn't manhandle Jones.

I think you underestimate how strong Jon is and how good he is at using leverage and them long ass arms. I don't think he'll manhandle Stipe.... just saying I don't think Stipe manhandles Jon.

It's been so long since Jones has used his ground game that everyone thinks he's going to stand and bang.

They forget that he can already maul the majority of the no wrestling ability HW division as a LHW.

When he beats Stipe this will be Sherdog

“Stipe was always a bum, fought a bunch of old bums, Fedor is GOAT”

Jones smashed DC twice.
And the last time Jones looked that good was when he last popped for steroids in the Gustafsson rematch; the Jones who fought Smith, Santos, and Reyes is not the same Jones who fought Cormier.
