...the #1 spot at this point should just be a toss-up between these two lads:

The only possible, acceptable discussion happens if someone eventually throws a TJ Dillashaw in there.

Thanks.

IMO Yoel is at least as good as Whittaker and most likely better than him

IF MM isn't a GOAT contender, he is at the very very least deserving of being mentioned as one of, if not the best p4p fighter on earth today.

He deserves a little bit more of this
<RomeroSalute><RomeroSalute><RomeroSalute>

And less of this
<{nope}><{nope}><{nope}>

I think DJ's spot is well deserved. He has the record for title defenses after all.

In before rankings don't matter.
In division rankings matter because it's based on things that happen in real life. It's like saying rankings don't matter in other sports, of course it matters.
P4P rankings is an argument for fantasy land.

Cept he's a light heavyweight. Whittaker could easily make WW, so P4P wise, even if you think Yoel won in second fight (and undoubtedly lost the first), the nod should still go to Teh Knuckles.

P4P is a fictional make believe rankings system that doesnt make any logical sense in this physical world as we know it

Nah as much as manlets like MM disgust me if you blow them up to normal human size and magically have them retain all their physical attributes they'd kick serious ass. A Whittaker sized MM who can fight and move like MM would be borderline superhuman. A Stipe sized MM who can fight and move like MM would crush every human on planet earth.

P4P is just fantasy nonsense to empower the little people because we all know they'd get their asses kicked in a real fight. We know insects are small and insignificant, so to make them look more interesting we come up with these P4P feats like an ant being able to lift 50-100 times its body weight, which looks impressive as hell, until you realize you can still crush the P4P ant with your pinky. Similarly everybody knows MM is small and insignificant so to make him look more impressive we come up with the P4P ranking and say he's P4P best, which I suppose he is, in the same way that an ant is P4P far stronger than a lion, and Muggsy Bogues was P4P better at basketball than Shaq.

Interesting.

I think with P4P, we have to ask ourselves who could be successful at multiple weight classes, and possibly even win another title.

Max would have success at LW, certainly could not make BW, but a win versus Conor, Khabib or Tony is a tall glass of water. No current second title IMO.

I can see Knuckles doing well versus Tyrone, but a win versus Cormier or Jones seems impossible for him. Second title a possibility but only at a lower class.

TJ may be able to beat MM but a win against Max, or anyone new breed FW, does not look good for him. Second title a possibility but only at a lower class.

MM could and would have success at BW, but beating a guy like CoGar or TJ at BW would be a tall task. No second title imo.

Jones and D.C. also def have great shots at capturing second titles, and in a few days, we will see what D.C. can do, tho I really think it is a tall ask seeing as how good Stipe is. No second title for D.C. ATM, and I fully expect JJ to duck Stipe if he comes back and just stick at LHW.

in awe at the size of that lad

For sure. I said rankings don't matter cause it's a popular phrase to say when a discussion about rankings comes about.

Couldn't beat him in 50 minutes. He'll always be second best as long as Bobby is around.
I've never seen such salt mining over a fighter losing two times to the same individual. Even when D.C. lost to juice box the second time there was not even this much salt.

I'd have to go with Max if forced to choose. He was green when he lost to Conor and still went the distance. Whittaker was finished by Wonderboy, not that that's horrible, and he barely beat Romero in both fights. With just a little more effort Yoel could have easily won. MM doesn't enter the P4P in my opinion until he beats a former champion or at least a champion caliber fighter. Who is his signature win? Joe B?

Pure, unadultered fact. Only blind nut huggers will disagree. yoel might not own the offcial w's, but he has Whittaker's soul. Whittaker is using so many excuses since that fight. He is trying to convince the fans, world media, and mostly himself that he won on some level. Even using baseless steroid accusations(like every r.w. fan does as well) seems strange coming from the champ who defended lol. Romero is the peoples champ and aged whittaker 10yrs at minimum during that 25 minute ass whopping. Rant over, War S.O.G.
