Small chances for that but I'm guessing that would make OSP even more popular than Conor.

Then he would replace sokodjou as the guy with the most amazingly surprising back to back lhw victories.
 
It's not happening but even if it did it wouldn't make him immediately famous. The guy doesn't really have the attitude that makes someone appealing to the media that being said it would truly be a lightning strike that would have a lot of people talking.

OSP is as interesting as Mighty Mouse. Him as a champion would be a disaster for LHW.

Nate is incredibly popular. He's been all over the media sense whoopin Conor. He's been popular for a long time too. So it is that much... whatever that means.

Or Holm. Shine don't work like that. Beating a star doesn't make you inherit their star power. People have a hard time respecting McGregor's skills in and out of the octagon. Sure, it had much to do with the fact Ireland is a fighting nation and was starved of talent but his verbosity, intelligence and fighting acumen is such that any fighter from any nation would be a star with such gifts. Look at the build up to 189/194/World Tour, displayed is a fight hype genius we have never seen. Go to political videos on youtube, things completely non related to MMA, and you will find people saying things like "Donald will change their bum lives", "kiss the king's feet", etc...

With Rousey it was a bit different; forced to be a star because of vagina. an undefeated streak, Photoshop good looks and insane, baffling Rogan hype as almost if he were trolling on everyone. Very rarely will Rousey be mentioned without the name Rogan following after. If Rogan wanted to go nutty with OSP, he could surely catapult him into super stardom. However, OSP already has some loses, no sense of invincibility and is far from being a verbose, charismatic start but beating Jones and Cormier would certainly be enough to rocket him into some kind of stardom. That being said, it won't happen. One does not simply beat Jones and then Cormier. Very likely the two best fighters the world has ever seen and both would be favored over a prime Fedor.
 
If I beat Jon Jones and then Cormier, would I be GOAT?
