If Ngannou leaves

With all the rumours going around Ngannous feud with Dana and possibly Francis leaving at the end of it?

Assuming he would go to Bellator, would this be a spark for other prolific superstars going the same way as Francis?

Losing Francis would be a huge loss and not like losing a average fighter as Ryan Bader who became the champ in Bellator.

We are talking about a champ in the UFC...the current one

Nobody watches Ngannou fight, in what way would it be a huge loss?

He won the title in the biggest MMA promotion in the world. His next step should be boxing or freak shows to get paid.

I think Francis just wants to see his worth outside of what UFC is offering and there is nothing wrong with that. He's already beaten virtually everyone at HW.

He has almost no worth outside the UFC. An Ngannou PPV sells about 200k

Superstars dont go to the b-league, they cant pay them.

Their best bet is probably staying with the UFC, i dont see Conor complaining.

I think Dana's playing a clever game because he probably expects Gane will beat Ngannou, which means he is out of his contract anyway. I think he's setting it up to Cyborg Francis, like Oh? I thought you were leaving but if you want to stay, I guess we could do it for like...half of what you made before. Don't like it? OK, see ya, good luck.

Average? Ryan Bader is far from average. He’s an elite fighter who can beat top guys in two weight divisions.

also don’t just assume he’d go to Bellator, he could go to PFL, Eagle FC, Rizin FC or even One FC.

but most likely he isn’t going anywhere

Can’t help but feel like this feud is all manufactured hype. Dana once again taking a page out of his idol Vince McMahon’s playbook
Already did it with Tito…Francis isn’t good enough on the microphone for it to be manufactured imo …makes no sense

Dana is a sneaky one. He makes out on social media Frank can leave whenever he wants. But he cant if he wins. His contract keeps extending. Should be illegal imo.

the only way i see him getting out of the UFC contract AND still being able to draw a big fight with a top boxer is IF he loses a controversial decision that looked like he clearly won. other than that, he ain't getting what he wants. if he wins he gets locked into the champion clause, if he loses and it's decisive none of the top boxers are going to fight him. your reputation and record are way more important in boxing than in MMA, they won't waste time or take the risk of looking relatively bad vs a non-champion.

Can you imagine if francis left and fedor koed him as his final fight

i highly doubt this. dana has treated most of his champs like trash if they dare speak up about fighter pay or want more money.

This. Part of the issue is he wants cross over boxing fights and UFC/Dana won't allow it after the results of Conor vs Floyd and the Jake Paul fights. Tyson Fury and him were going back and forth for a while and Fury was trying to set up a potential match up between them. He isn't switching to another mma promotion, the whole point is the contract issues. He always wanted to get into boxing, even before mma. He is just using mma to get into boxing.

You guys dont understand how Ufc contracts work. The only way he leaves is if he loses and then hes not that big of a deal anymore.

in six months no one would care
