If Nate Diaz retires, how will the media view him?

Nate is neat to watch, neater than some of George St-Pierre's matches even.

But if he retires, I don't even think the media will consider him in the top 50 fighters of the last 15 years

He'll be known as the guy that slapped Conor McGregor into oblivion and made him utterly quit in the octagon.

Not too shabby.

The future will be much kinder to Nate's UFC career because he was the first to beat Conor and it was a finish.

He will be remembered the same way if he retires now or if he waits 10 years. His career will always be defined by that McGregor win, he is never going to top that moment.

hes beaten cowboy, Gomi, jim miller, marcus davis, manny gamburyan, josh neer, michael johnson and won the ultimate fighter.

Thats a great career.

Nate "The Stepchild" Diaz took this fight on like 3 days notice. Only reason he was able to make weight is because he was in the middle of a vegan body cleanse, and a stage 3 beta kerotine balance. His striking has never been that effective in mma, and he will retire with only a couple decent wins. Those being over marcus davis and melving guillard.

The Diaz bros talk retirement after every big payday.....then they blow all their money and bitch about how shitty the UFC pay is and beg for fights again.

Not effective striking? You're clearly retarded.

He's got some good wins, but he's never beaten anyone great, unfortunately.

He'll be remembered for having a long career of not giving a fuck, and always throwing down.No one would be making arguments for how he ranks as an all-time great.

That is beside the point. He isn't top 50 LW in ufc history. Simple
ha what a sad troll attempt. if conor losses his next fight you gonna ditch this account too or are you gonna just change you av and hope we dont notice your name?

he'll be remembered just like any top 10 guy that moves on. He won't retire though, he's peaking now and has at least 1 more 7 figure payday left

This. He is literally at his lifetime peak in the rankings why would he retire now? Whatever he does with this forward momentum is up to him. His skills have already aged like fine wine, already a fan favorite, it's what he does with the holes in his game that will determine is all-time-greatness.
