If Mighty Mouse Retired Tomorrow What Happens to the Flyweight Division?

Does it just end?

UFC gets criticized a lot for not promoting Mighty Mouse enough, but the fact that Flyweight is even a Division is kind of an argument against that. Take Mighty Mouse out of the equation and what interesting stories are there really? You could just move everyone up to Bantamweight where they’d competing at a healthier weight. Sure some of them will fall by the wayside, but that happens in every division as it is. That’s the definition of competition.

The FW division will give the appearance of being full of talent, due to having parity. Mighty Mouse will then be given the respect he already deserved for ruling that division.
 
It would quickly become one of the most competitive. Pettis, benavidez, cejudo, and Torres would play hot potato with the belt.
 
It's just a dumping ground for 135 washouts. The fighters border on being physically deformed. It's a freak show division.
 
If the UFC keeps a division like Women's Featherweight, they're not going to get rid of Men's Flyweight.
