If McGregor's energy was more efficient he would've won

I have to admit this is the first time since Brimage I actually was certain Conor would win. I truly think (now thought) pretty highly of his fight IQ and I didn't think he would chase the knockout as much as he did. I think he's a victim of his own hype train.

I also have to admit I haven't seen the fight yet. I read plenty of play by play and from them it does seem like he didn't fight a smart fight.

I also thought he had cardio...
He didn't lose because of cardio. He lost because Nate Diaz rocked him with a 1-2. And he didn't know how to deal with that. And in his panic he did the dumbest thing possible, which was to take down a bjj black belt.

a few things I saw posted said he had already begun to leave his hands down with his mouth wide open. You don't think he ran out of gas? Don't mistake this for me making excuses for him. I'm leaning towards him not having adequate cardio as a result of his own shortcomings.

EDIT:

and I saw that 1-2, that was maybe the prettiest I've seen Diaz throw.

I saw many of his fans claim that Nate having no chance was a fact. Maybe some people should research what "fact" actually means.

You know what's also fact Conor had a full and glorious camp where he didn't have to worry about weight but to just train and play good touch/bad touch in the park. Nate had a 10 day camp and Conor called his body soft and Nate unprepared, then this happend to the rising "Golden Child...
