If McGregor beats RDA and McGregor doesn't go back down to FW, would it be fair to give Edgar a chance to fight McGregor at LW? I think it should be considered as an option if McGregor is ready for a quick LW title defense and no other deserving LWs would be ready in time.

If Conor beats RDA, what makes you think ANYONE can beat him at this juncture!?

Conor is challenging Lawler for the WW belt if he wins against RDA. Edgar will have to sit and pout some more if that happens.

Well he says he just wants the belt, so I'm sure he'll be the delighted for the opportunity to fight Aldo for it in the near future. And if he wins the belt and wants to allay doubts about his status by beating McGregor, then he should certainly move up and be given an immediate title shot.

Not without defending or vacating his other belts.

Yes, if conor wins he shouldn't have to chase edgar. Champs don't look for fights. I hope he just relinquishes the fw belt and doubles up on defenses at LW.

Nate deserves first crack at conor at LW though at ufc 200. It sells the best and nate is unsceduled as of now.

I find it a little bizarre how people think that a 5'9 guy that goes on and on about his height/reach advantage compared to others in his division would suddenly go to a division where he'd be at a constant height/reach disadvantage

It would be interesting if Frankie remains focused on Conor no matter what. Why this would be interesting is b/c it would be to make a point to the UFC, not Conor or his fans.

It seems that way if you listen to his last interview.

I think Edgar and Aldo will fight for the FW belt next.

Along with a weight and power disadvantage.

Even speed wise I don't believe Conor would gain anything on the LW or WWs.

edgar should pick the fight at 145

conor is so big that the "bad weight cut" can come at anytime and favor him

at LW the size advantage for mcgoat would make it more difficult for frankie

if mcgoat does not defend at 145 and go for the 170 title he should be stripped of the 145 belt imo
then aldo vs edgar for the belt

I have a hard time imagining Conor returning to FW.

why? frankie should try and win two belts in different divisions.

not winning the light weight belt two times.

I personally think Edgar has a better chance beating Mcgregor at LW than Aldo at FW. However who knows how Aldo will look after that KO and the first Edgar-Aldo fight was competitive. I just think it'll be a shame if we never see Mcgregor vs Edgar.
