If McGregor beats RDA should Edgar move up?

If McGregor beats RDA and McGregor doesn't go back down to FW, would it be fair to give Edgar a chance to fight McGregor at LW? I think it should be considered as an option if McGregor is ready for a quick LW title defense and no other deserving LWs would be ready in time.

Well he says he just wants the belt, so I'm sure he'll be the delighted for the opportunity to fight Aldo for it in the near future. And if he wins the belt and wants to allay doubts about his status by beating McGregor, then he should certainly move up and be given an immediate title shot.

Yes, if conor wins he shouldn't have to chase edgar. Champs don't look for fights. I hope he just relinquishes the fw belt and doubles up on defenses at LW.

Nate deserves first crack at conor at LW though at ufc 200. It sells the best and nate is unsceduled as of now.

Even speed wise I don't believe Conor would gain anything on the LW or WWs.

I personally think Edgar has a better chance beating Mcgregor at LW than Aldo at FW. However who knows how Aldo will look after that KO and the first Edgar-Aldo fight was competitive. I just think it'll be a shame if we never see Mcgregor vs Edgar.
