If Khabib retires 30-0, is he GOAT?

That would imply 4 title defences so GOAT lightweight. Comparing across divisions is a pointless exercise imo.

if the wins are conor, tony and 2 other dudes maybe. beating conor and tony puts him in the top 5 tho. #1 will always be argued

If he goes on to beat CM Punk 4 times then yes. Undisputed GOAT

Not if his next four fights are unranked, last minute lightweights.

He would literally need to defend his title like 10 times. Not kidding like 10 times.

if its like ferguson dustin lee and some other, maybe

His record is joke so far. Fought against nobodies like Horcher and won belt by going to desicion against top 17 guy Al.

I think Fedor would have a lot more top 10 wins if Khabib retires with 4 more fights, if he were to win them all

His best wins are
Dos Anjos
Barboza
Michael Johoson
Iaquinta?

this.
Fedor was 31-1-1 fighting HW's...

Khabib might be the LW GOAT, but in order to become MMA GOAT, he will need more than that

If his last 4 wins are Vs Conor, Ferg, T-Wood and GSP,
yes.

Otherwise, not enough title defense I guess...

Skill-wise, Khabib is very impressive. Resume-wise? It's getting better, but winning the belt by beating Al Iafrate sort of underlined how meh his resume is.

Not enough fights against big names to be the GOAT.

Are you serious? The guy has 20 or so wins against nobodies from Russia and countries nobody can pronounce.

He's a great fighter but not even in the conversation for GOAT. So far his signature win is RDA, and no other champions or top contenders.

Why is everyone so fuckin obsessed with this GOAT stuff. Everyone so desperate to name current fighters the GOAT of whatever division they are in. Guess what children, GOAT is something best discussed with distance from their career if at all.

Fedor, Jones, Anderson, GSP, and Aldo were all champions for 6+ years.
So no lol
