He's the most overrated fighter in the UFC
- most pulled out fighter
- takes 1-3 years off
- never fought title contenders
- lay and pray boring fighter
- doesn't speak English well
Kabib's style is shit. He is a shitty version of GSP
This shit is beautiful, but how did Conor NOT SEE that punch coming, Khabib telegraphed that punch so much. Conor was also a little mid air when the punch hit him.
khabib doesn't even fight over the summer
u mean a better version of gsp

Conor is known for really good foot work and movement, How this punch landed I have no idea, which kinda makes it even more impressive.
Yeah, i rewatched it a few times now, and it was very quick, but still, Conor in this situation would normally throw the left straight as a counter. You even see Khabib reacting as if a left counter was on the way.Watch it in real-time. It was far from telegraphed. It was actually shockingly quick. Did not think Khabib was capable of that.

My take on this is Khabib got into McGregor's head after the first round, and that made Conor not be himself, I think he acted weird, like he was worried, and then got caught.
THat punch was in the start of round 2, he was fresh, first round was basically a jiu jitsu match. I really think Conor wasn't acting the way he normally does because Khabib got into his head.
Makes sense, Khabib did duck a bit before throwing the punch, but like u said, it's not as pronounced as Mendes'. Conor's legs had that back movement like he is preparing to sprawl, so that must of been it, he thought Khabib was going for his legs and then caught him with a crazy fast and powerful punch. Pretty sweet strikeI disagree but you might be right. We're both speculating obviously. I think Khabib's subtle dip had Conor expecting a takedown. It's all split-second shit but it reminded me of Mendes landing that big uppercut on Aldo.
Chad's feint is obviously a lot more pronounced (though not as much as the slow-mo suggests) but I feel like Khabib managed to get Conor to drop his guard as well. Both are huge telegraphed punches but precipitated by the wrestling feint, imo.

Randy was a fake fuck who got caught lying about his contractThere’s no chance in hell he’s going to bellator. I know Khabib can threaten to quit but they won’t release him. Just ask Randy Couture how lock solid those UFC contracts are.
Chads feint? He is slipping Aldo's jab and countering. He isn't doing a wrestling feint. He is counter strikingI disagree but you might be right. We're both speculating obviously.
